At this time, it is hard to believe such... but then again what do we really know? if this is true and something went wrong along the way and someone died because of sorcery, one could rely on the law to put justice to it right? unless some also don't believe in the power of the law.
i just read this yahoo new and it is really that disturbing, the people burned someone to death because of sorcery and it is mind boggling and pretty disturbing. They condemned someone for evil acts yet again they also did an evil act. Wrong to another wrong which is really hard to think about. sad but this is reality.

We've heard a lot of news about the instances wherein kids from a school have been possessed but it has always been said that it was MASS HYSTERIA. I would like to think that there is really some scientific basis on this. But what could be that unknown phenomenon that causes this to happen? A lot of unexplained events, incomprehensible results....I wouldn't really know.

if there might be some scientific explanation.. i still don't think it is right for them to kill the woman.. i mean what right do they have right? there is no difference between her and the people.

That is what happens when people just jump into conclusions and the proof being taken for granted. Because of fear (which they really do not know what to be afraid of), they just do something that morbid hoping to stop it. But if what they say was true, do they think that it would stop with that? Retaliation is sure to follow.

Hello there ! We are living in a very high technology age , i can't understand why some people still believes in sorcery and all. I for one don't believed on this , what ever happens to a person , whatever he feels and whatever is happening around Science can explain it .I believed also that my God is more powerful than this sorcerer and witches . No one can over power my God . Bad can never win over the good , it is the good that triumph always and forever !

The witchcraft and sorcery are quite happening here too in the country though they are not proven scientifically. And many a times, when the doers are caught, mostly (the tribal areas), they are burnt down too.
It is quite sad that such things happen, and then people use wrong means and commit further wrongs.

When i first read the title of the said news at Yahoo, i became interested as where this happened. I thought this happened here, but was relieved that it's in Papua New Guinea.
I am sad that they did a barbaric way to someone who they perceived to be a sorcerer. But i think, it's hard to judge them, because it wasn't clear what the "sorceress" did that really made the people kill her.

When the crowd did that, did they think of the woman's child?
A life for a life? Who then will pay for hers? They just heaped judgment upon themselves. While it is painful, what they did just worsen the whole situation.
What is right I don't know. I only know I see wrong in their (un)doing.
People will never learn, which is why by ourselves we are doomed. Thank God for Jesus who is able and willing to save us from the wrath. If only the had heard Jesus said "let he who is without sin cast the first stone". If only, if only but it is all too late now.
