How much do you know about affirmation? do you believe in power of words? I have used affirmation several times and I got some results. Have you ever affirm things that you want into your life in this way?

Hi extremefun4fun, I think they are great and thanks for starting a discussion like this. You have nice thoughts. I find that statements of gratitude work for me as well. If I am feeling down just a few thoughts of what I can be thankful for help me feel instantly better about my situation. I am grateful for having my computer and being able to connect with others in this world. If you want, only if you want, what would be an affirmation for you?

I think first see the word happiness in your mind and try to imagine things that bring happiness and enjoy the imaginations. Like I imagine walking on the beach and feeling the seawater on my legs and seeing a big waterfalls, etc.

If I say to you now: "Your discussion posts are the most creative in the whole of myLot." How did you feel? Good? well, what if I said I lied. Now how do you feel? Don't worry, I lied again. Not that I like to lie or that I lie regularly, but just to illustrate that words are indeed powerful enough to do great things, both good and bad. A war could be started with words. So can peace. The choice is who the one who speaks.

I also consider where words are coming from. Most words are repeats but if they come from the heart they do have power. If a troubled drunken person yells something crazy at you as you pass by would you take this into your heart? If God speaks to you would you listen more intently? With people I think of their emotional state. Are they angry, frustrated, little crazy or being wise.

Yes, positive words and negative one both have power. It depends to people and their choice. but the power of good one is more than bad one. isnt it? when we affirm something good with emotion we ger result much faster than negative one.

Yes, I have tried affirming things and I did get some results as expected. I just wonder that for some things I couldn't get I couldn't seem to be confident affirming about. I wished it were easier in all areas of my life but, well, nobody's perfect.

Maybe the one you didnot get that result, was not truly the wish which comes from deep of heart or maybe was not with emotion and feelings while of affirmation.

I am a Reiki Channel and there we need to use affirmations whenever we want something done. For example if I want a patch up in a relationship I would have to imagine that it is happening and think about it strongly.

Yes I do. It is effective because it makes you mentally prepared to face the tasks on hand and have the right attitude to do it effectively. It is just as effective as when you have nothing but negativity going on, it will just drag you down.

The debates were a good example of what words and the way they are presented has a big influence on people. One was said with a lot of conviction while the other not so much. Found out later that the one without conviction wasn't really into winning. He had to be talked into running for office.

well, how the universe will open the way of being happy if i repeat i am happy? but why not if i say i am widow? i mean, they say, something should be a deep desire from heart and mind, the things that you really want, then ask it and it will come to you... then why the universe will not open way of becoming widow? so how it work?

Affirmations are true for as long as you also work for it. I mean they are just words but can be powerful enough because when you say things, that's how you get motivated.

Affirmations can be effective and intuitive only if it is properly organized and practiced. Choice of words should be strong and the important thing is that your mind should accept it and believe it. You have to create the right affirmation for you and repeat it on a regular basis to get better results. It will help you keep away from the negative thinking. Once you have got rid of the negative thinking, there is more possibility that you can get the things right in your life. However it takes some real practice and advice of experts. You can also try out resources in internet. You can find some of the resources in
