My mother in law went through this shockwave treatment for her kidney stones... it was a lot less painful and cheaper than an actual surgery... recovery is faster... and the result was astounding... but of course the first few days was hell for her... she was always dizzy and had to lay down all of the time... but after a few days... everything went back to normal for her...

My mom underwent that treatment 14 years ago. And I don't think that it was that painful considering that only as big as a probe was inserted inside her instead of having the big incision to get rid of the stones. So, I think it is the best method of getting rid of those stones as it will only take you days to recover.
