Why Do We Have 2 Celebrate Valentines Day? If Everyday, We Can Always Give Love?

I was thinking. Why do we have to celebrate a specific event on a Valentines Day if everyday and through out the years, we can always give love to our love ones huh? We can celebrate our love to our special love ones every day even not in the month of February isn't it? I do not understand the reason why we have to celebrate Valentines day? Does it mean we give something very special to the person we love only on February? Why can't we do it everyday, every month and every year?

well, your right we could celebrate love everyday but i think for other reason they celebrate one day of valentines its because that day you can share, you can give, and also you forgot your worries and problems in a single day for your partner. in other words the single day that you can celebrate and express your true love and feelings to your love ones. I love valentines day ever, I dont know but im very happy and all my worries will fade when that time comes. thank you !!!HAPPY VALENTINES TO ALL OF YOU GUYS!!!

Oh. How I wish people also learn to express love not just the month of valentines day. It is same of Christmas day. People should also learn to forgive and forget, not just the month of Christmas day. I mean they just do good deeds because of that event and without it, well, I do not know what would happen to them.

That's true, especially when you're not really the type who is expressive of your feelings, you can use valentines day to act expressive about your love others and not be criticized for it. Anyway, being expressive about feelings of love is normal on valentines day. Happy valentines mike, i really love your cat.

Valentine day is just an another day to celebrate love, not the only one. It happens that in the daily hustle of our lives, at times, we people forget about our personal life but this is a reminder that love still can be celebrated and cherished.

Oh my. My energy runs out because almost every day in my life, I always do it to the one I love and when February came, I decided to rest and become busy... ha ha I do not worry too much. It is because Februay is just only one month out of every month that I always did something special to the one I love

I think that is a good point too. In my case, there is someone i like but i dont want to ask him to go out on valentines day. I dont want to pressure him as i am sure there are other people who would like to go out with him on valentine's. i think I'd rather have him go out with me when he's free from his other commitments. other days are good too as long as your feelings are sincere.

That's right, some people use valentines day in order to do acts of live they rarely do and not be shamed for it as it is normal to be done on valentines day.

IntrovertShy I see it a little like Mothers Day or Fathers Day..I believ we need to respect and express love to our Mothers and Fathers all the time..but having one special day dedicated to them is nice. Valentines is a day to recognize love..and not just for couples...

I wish we could have sister's or brother's day too. I want to know what it feels like greeting sister's day because I am a sister of a five siblings.

I also don't understand why to celebrate it, esp. not in the way people do it now. It has nothing to do what with (Saint) Valentine did. But that is the same if it comes to celebrating Christmas, Thanksgiving, mother's day, father's day, etc. How come we need days to remember, expres ourselves... or worser.. we just celebrate because the shops and society makes us and we are kicked out of the group (our society) if we refuse to join.

Wow, interesting honor 06. Maybe because in the past, life was so difficult and when they were allowed that day when they can finally do some good thing that they dont normally do it becomes really special. And based on my experience, when i have so much suffering even the simplest things can make me happy. We're all used to a lot of things being already good that we fail to see that some of the normal things are beautiful and special too. Suffering heightens the feelings of joy.

We can express it everyday in a special way. I, for one, do not understand why we have to celebrate all of it. I was wondering why we did not have sister's day, brother's day, pet's day and so on. I was wondering, if we have mother's day and father's day, why we can't have sister's day and brother's day so that all will be fair? Is there a family day? An event where all family can celebrate within that month? He he

I think people honor the saint on valentines day. I think that is why it is called Valentina's day. We celebrate st. Valentine. It just so happened that st. Valentine was the saint who pushed through marriage of two people in the church and so it was associated with love. Some people just stress more on the romantic mood of Valentine's and they forget the real reason as to why it is celebrated.

Now I understand. I have to celebrate Valentines day too I guess, but I have to research about his life first. I want to know why he became a saint. I want to know all about him.

You're absolutely right. We don't need a special day to love our loved ones. We love them every day of the year. It's just a hype created by the society & the media. Businessmen use it to boost their business on these days.

Society dictates it and if we are not one of them, people might think that we are absolutely abnormal. Businessmen take advantage all of it to earn money and they aim not only at Valentines day, but also in Christmas day, Mother's day, Father's day and there are many things to mention. I think society consider it normal.

Well for me there is nothing wrong with joining the world in celebrating love on this specific day (Valentines Day) but I make sure I am not deceived by the world as well. Valentines Day has been so used and abused in so many ways. The prices of flowers escalates, and even all other items related to Valentines because they sell like hotcakes. Well I told my husband never to be cheated by the lures of Valentines Day. He can always give me flower at any day but not Valentines Day. We can always show our care for each other without spending on things that are overpriced. Flowers smells just as sweet even if not Valentines Day after all.... provided it is given to the one you really treasure and adore. Indeed every day is a day when love could and should be expressed in a hundred different ways. We need not wait for Valentines Day to do it. However holding a special love celebration once a year is not bad either. You may opt to do it on Valentines Day but it does not need to be exactly on Valentines Day but any day you find it more appropriate.

That is so sweet. The only thing I do is to create a video on my own. That is the way I express my love to someone.
