Before, I had colleagues that claimed that they can do all the special responsibilities given to me aside from what is written on the job description. He even told this one to one of our boss. Because of this one, our boss asked me what I am doing to my work.
Early this afternoon, we had some consultant and he is suggesting another special task to do in one of our plant. He aske who will be the person in-charge of the said project and without any doubt he pointed me as the one to take charge and I can manage doing it. Where is the one he said that he can do those special tasks given to me.
In my opinion, they cannot perform such task without me. My wife even told me that once I leave or resign from my work, they will hire two persons to perform all my task.
Just sharing mylotters. Good day!

Before quitting your job you have to consider all the factors that will affect you and your family. If you are a breadwinner it's not that easy to quit your job just like that. I guess your boss believes in your ability that's why the project was given to you, and that other employee, maybe is just jealous. Ignore him, they won't do any good to you.

I know those things. Before I want to quit but thinking of the family, I keep on continuing and still surviving. I think these are just one of the challenges I encountere and I know I will encounter more. Crab mentality is normal in any place of work.

Maybe you are right. One thing I really hate is that they already have twice salary increase but I was not included in those. Well, that is just money talks.

well can you just take it as a compliment for trusting you too much? You know trust is hard to earn somehow.

Interesting. I hope your boss really acknowledges your value to the company. It's never good to have colleagues who try to undermine you and say that they could do your job.

I just hope too because I really don't know what these people are telling our boss about me. They are the one that has been frequently talked by the bosses.

Some people in the workplace who always points fingers at someone are insecure and yeah, it can be really common, yeah?
Maybe you can just stop minding them and show them how much you have done at work and how much you are able to do for your job - yes even if it is out of your job description, then show them and let them show it if they are even able to match that... ha, i hate people who have nothing to do but point fingers at everyone else and don't see themselves who is just insecure and is trying to cover up their own mess.

yes, that is true, i mean people who talks a lot basically works so little and by that we only know that they need to claim to be the ones who has supposedly did something, because to them that is their only way they can get recognition, by riding at someone elses' performance.

They are just good in talking but not working what they are talking about. And when the project was done and became successful, they always calim the credit for that. That was really work of insecure people.

I agree with you, They are most called credit grabber and if not, they will try to insert themselves to be included in the recognition.

It's all talk and they are just jealous of you. Everyone has a role to perform in a company. It's like the organs and cells in the body. Each has a specific function for the body to work at its optimum. If employees entertain thoughts about false greatness compared to others then it's not a good working environment for them.

Thanks for this encouragement. However, if crab mentality strikes, I might be in a bad condition. LOL

Just ignore them for they might only be jealous on your special abilities in handling such activities. Just go on with your life and make right decisions.

Just like some said, they might be insecure on me since I can easily hadle such task and our boss greatly rely on my capabilities.
