coupons gone bad...

I have been an avid couponer for years, simply because I have needed to be. After all these couponing shows though the companies have been lowering the amounts on the coupons. The prices in the stores have sky rocketed to boot. I still try to buy what I can as cheap as I can..anyone else seeing this?

Yes the coupons have gotten smaller in savings size and they have added stipulations such as buy 2 get X amount of $ off. I am constantly struggling to make our monthly grocery budget work. The couponing shows have just messed up couponing for me.

Yes, I have seen it. I think the coupon shows have just showed companies what is going on. I think it is sad, because most people count on them. Most of the time now you have to buy more than one. I think it is sad for those of us who need them to make ends meet.

Yes the shows I think showed the companies but it also increased the amount of people doing it making more of a loss for the companies. It is sad and discouraging at times.

Well it matters here sometimes we do much better buying store brand other times a coupon makes a name brand cheaper. The cost of food has become crazy. I am always looking to save money mean while still getting healthy foods.

IDK about the amounts on coupons but that's one reason I don't bother with them. Usually store brands are cheaper than brand names unless you luck out and find a good sale and a coupon that's still valid that possibly could put the cost lower than store brand. Everything creeps up higher and and higher every week with everything to blame from mother nature to the stock market. We just have to do the best we can to make every dollar stretch so we can maintain or improve our life style.

Many of the coupons are now for the purchase of two items not so much lower in the face value. I use store brands, I compare and buy what ever is cheapest. Usually I will only buy name brand when there is a good sale with coupons and I stock up. I am not one of the crazies on T.V. but I have a pretty good stock pile.

Me too or they no longer double or have hoops to jump through. Our store will not take freebie coupons if they are printed

they are expired and you should not feel for it ,just go for another one and get a cool new swap of coupons
