I was watching a documentary on WWE's DX the other day and I found out something that shocked me speechless...did you guys know that a member of the cheesiest group (well, besides 3MB)the cheerleaders known as the Spirit Squad is now known as Dolph Ziggler? I was mad at myself for not even knowing or noticing. It took me back to when I realized the guy from Nexus with what I called Super Sayan hair is now with that Titus O'Neal guy but with a shorter haircut. So it made me wonder, are they going to keep bringing people back as someone else?

Dolph Ziggler was in WWE two times before settling on the Dolph Ziggler character. First he was there under his real name Nick Nemeth and he was the caddy for Kerwin White (Chavo Guerrero's very short lived character, that was ended the day after Eddie Guerrero passed), then he was sent back to OVW and when called back up he was a part of the Spirit Squad as Nicky, after that gimmick was ended he was sent back to OVW and when called back up he became Dolph Ziggler. The person above me is right about Tensai as well; he was Albert / A Train before being let go and competing in Japan for a number of years. Ryback was actually a part of Nexus under the name Skip Sheffield, but then he was injured and left the company for about 11 months before returning as Ryback. R-Truth was even in WWE under a different name before he was let go and he went to TNA. He wrestled under the name K-Kwik and would team with Road Dogg on several occasions. Not sure if anyone remembers the vampire character Kevin Thorn but his original character was by the name Mordecai, a gimmick that was supposed to be the opposite of The Undertaker. Some other wrestlers that have been remixed as characters include Kane, The Godfather, Drew McIntyre, and Paul Burchill. WWE isn't the only federation to do this, WCW did it, TNA does it, a lot of indy federations do it as well. It is a way of trying to refresh wrestlers and refresh the company. Although many fans notice that wrestlers were under different names before and continue to call them by those names for a while after debutiing the new gimmick, promoters try to remove an old gimmick that they believe was bad or not getting the reaction they wanted.

Kenny Dykstra (Kenny) came back for a while but that only lasted for maybe a year. After they were all sent back to OVW they just got split up and Nick was the only one that really made a name for himself. Mitch dated Torrie Wilson for a while; not sure where that relationship went. Johnny Jeter (Johnny) returned to OVW back in 2008 but last I checked he wasn't there anymore. Micheal Bendit (Mikey) returned to OVW and after being released from his contract with them he returned to ROH under his original character Mike Mondo. With the slew of former ROH stars in WWE now I am kind of surprised that they haven't called him back up. What TNA does with Superstars is change their names if WWE has rights to the names. Booker T and Sting were two exceptions to this, they both own the rights to their names. The former Mr. Kennedy is just wrestling under his real name now; Ken Anderson. Bubba Ray still went by that name when the Dudleys first arrived in TNA but as time went on he went from Billy Ray to his now now Bully Ray which is what he name became when he went heel. They did a complete 180 with Joseph Park though, who is really Christopher Parks aka Abyss. Some wrestlers names don't change much from federation to federation. Take for instance Daniel Bryan, in ROH he wrestler under his real name Bryan Danielson and when he signed his contract with WWE they just turned his name inside out so to speak.

I just learned a lot..my Wrestling Messiah friend probably didn't know what you posted..lol..I can understand the remixing happening early on (Jeff Hardy and his Willow the Wisp back in the day for example) but this might get out of hand sooner or later..R-Truth...I remember that K-Kwik name but gosh he was so boring to me..I also remember the Mordecai name..I watch TNA and I love how they are like the halfway house of the WWE..I only watch for Jeff but I noticed they took everyone's character from WWE and simple changed their names..Mr. Kennedy is now Mr. Anderson..what was his name Billy or Bubba Ray is now Bully Ray...the only cool thing about it there is they don't change the person, they just change the name...now I wonder what ever became of the rest of the Spirit Squad..thanks for the newfound knowledge...

Kane experienced much more embarrassing gimmicks. Thats why he is wearing a mask when he got introduced as Kane. He had been a walking Christmas tree creature mascot, Yes he have that stupid gimmick before. He also became Dr. Isaac Yankem, he is a Dentist that wrestles, yes a freaking dentist. Then when the Wrestler Diesel leaves WWE,WWE try to fool people that he is still in wwe by making him Diesel....

at least now he is in a very iconic that is not cheesy. WWE just remixed Johnny Curtis,he is now Fandango, a flamboyant and glamorous ballroom dancer that wrestles and flirts with his opponents too. Damien Sandow...... he is with WWE for a long time, If you remember Michelle Mccool on her teacher gimmick and she manages a tag team called teacher's pets, he is one of them. John Cena use to have a Robot gimmick called the prototype. Its so ironic that the prototype is a better wrestler than John Cena because he have a more diverse moveset... then I realized they were the same person.

My best friend tried to make me remember Isaac Yankem. I had to try to find footage because I couldn't believe something so cheesy. He is the reason why I am afraid of dentists now. I get flashbacks..lol..now that I think about it, the only remix that ever really went right to me was The Undertaker..well, until that American Bad*** thing happened..that was kind of corny..

You will be surprised if you really pay attention on just how many wrestlers get new gimmicks. Sometimes its funny as ever when Vince gives them new names. Sometimes you can tell other times it takes awhile to notice.

I was in shock because I've been watching wrestling since I was about years old..I'm talking Hulkamania lunchboxes and t-shirts but what made me wonder is if anybody else was noticing these things..I was ok with Mick Foley..Cactus Jack..Dude Love..Mankind..I was aware..but it's like Dolph Ziggler was on the Spirit Squad..he was a joke to me before but now he is even more of a joke..lol..even the Irish dude..McIntyre who is with that corny 3MB group..he was considered dangerous some years back..now he is in a boy band..I guess I wasn't paying attention until now..

I remember that irritating group, Spirit Squad but I am not aware that Ziggler is one of those. As for the stars coming back as another wrestler, it is not the first time WWE did it.

yeah, I watched the DX documentary thinking it was going to be the funny moments (they are hilarious together) and it was based on the long beef between The Spirit Squad and HHH/Shawn Michaels...when they do the titantron of the Spirit Squad and Dolph was "Nicky"..when I saw it, I didn't pay it any mind until I heard his voice..I fell out laughing..

Another wrestler that I've noticed is Lord Tensai. I remember the first time I saw him in WWE he's Albert. Then he was renamed A-Train. And now he is Lord Tensai. I wonder what name would Vince McMahon will give to Brock Lesnar?

Yeah!! watch carefully because it seems like he is about to end up on the goofy side like Funkasaurus..that started on Vegas Night..I liked him better when he was Prince Albert..I look at him now and I am saying to myself, "When did he become Japanese?" Brock Lesnar is just going to be Brock..the guy to come in and take people out just like Mark Henry..the angriest man in WWE..
