I'm a girl, and usually the men were the ones who prepared these dates especially for occasions like Valentines Day. SO when my brother asked me about any ideas how to Surprise her girlfriend on Valentines Day without spending too much.. my head was just BLANK..hehe.. i really don't know. A lot of dates and surprises i know seems to be very expensive when i look at them, but i know there are so many ways a date can be unique and special without over spending.. hmmm? Any Idea guys? Thanks..

Prepare a picnic outside. Be it on the roof of your house, or a park where the ambience is good and you can lie down on mats and talk. Watching a movie together under a blanket in your house also sounds nice. Stargazing also seems fun. When i was in college, my ex and i rode the train back and forth and considered it a date.

I also like your idea. It is not expensive, it is more on a personal level making it even more romantic. Im all for the picnic date!
