It's a great horror book about a crazy fan that kidnappes her idol, a famous writer, and forces him to continue writing just for her. She punishes him ,cuts off parts of his body and threatens him.

I read the book, of course it's better than the movie. Some times, while i reading, i almost have perceived its pain! =)

I read MISERY a long time before it was made in to a movie. I'll tell you what, it was one of the scariest book I have ever read. Reading the book beforehand was a wise decision. The movie was good, but the book kept you on the edge of your seat. Reading the book alone in bed at night, made the setting of the book even that much scarier. I have read other Stephen King novels, but MISERY has to be one of my favorites.

It was one *scary* book. I remember borrowing it from the local library, reading upto say 30 pages or so (till the part where she's left him on his own and gone out and he's suffering from pain).. and I'd get so grossed/scared that I'd return it. Then two weeks later, I'd gather my courage again and borrow it.. and this happened for *months*.. I think all in all it took me 2 years or more to finish it :P

it's the first stephen king book i've ever read, and i've been collecting his works since. i simply love the way he narrates the story according to the character's views or feelings---like when paul sheldon was stoned from all those painkillers the narration was also jumbled, which makes it even creepier. my heart really jumped in many scenes from the story!

It was a good book. One of King's best works. Glad that he has kept on with that trait of writing great books.

I thought this was a really good, enjoyable read. But also very disturbing. It is such a creepy scenerio, being trapper with a crazy person that idolizes you way to much! *shiver*! lol. But I really enjoyed it, Stephen King is def, brilliant.
