Life of Pi made me cry

i watched life of pi two days ago and i really cried. i guess because i watched it alone that everything just hit it without any miss. i guess it is a plus that the actors are not that popular because i saw the characters more and not the actors playing them. i really think the movie is beautiful especially the visuals. the part when richard parker left pi is really heartbreaking.
how i wish my cat could grow like richard parker!!

I liked almost every part of this movies.
The plot, the dialogue, the scenes, the animation effects were so good.

Oh wasn't that movie great! It is so hard to believe that it was a true story. It was so well done and written with such honesty. I also loved the beautiful scenery and animals. I cried especially after all he went through they didn't believe his story. When Richard Parker didn't come to him that was so heartbreaking also. I hope if anything that it wins for visual effects at the Oscars next week.@iluvusabado (2560)

is it based on a true story? i really have no idea.
i think the movie will win the best visual effects in the oscars. i loved the scene with the jellyfishes and the whale. stunning!!!

I read the book online even before the movie was made. I dont know whether the movie has come here in our country or not. I wish to watch it.
Yes while reading itself we can feel the pain and the adventure. so while watching we will definitely feel it. Hope you enjoyed it.

my only idea of the movie is the cover of the novel where there'a boat with a young man and a tiger. that's all. and just watched the movie for the whole story. you'll enjoy it for sure.

I have the book and I wanted to read that before watching, but I'm really looking forward to seeing the movie. I've been waiting impatiently for it to come out on DVD! :)
