Horse meat scandal / myLot

So you have probably heard about the Tesco horse meat scandal where horse meat was found in beef burgers, Good news is that three people have been arrested for it and have been taken in for questioning, my question is how on earth did the manage to produce horse meat contaminated burgers in the first place?

I read a bit of that story and was still shocked the CEO was quoted saying "he still could not guarantee that all of his products contain exactly what is on the label" How is that possible? I'm scratching my head at this too because he's openly still not taking responsibility for anything. I'm just sticking to not buying anything pre-made or processed meat. Although I'm in the USA, I just feel safer that way.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well it is quite shocking to hear about this piece of news and as u have mentioned the arrested people should be questioned properly so that the real truth behind this could be unearthed. truly such news r really shocking that speaks how insensitive these people r towards the animals. What say?

Yeah its crazy how the suppliers of the meat used horse meat. Obviously they were trying to save money and just pass out any meat to make a profit...glad they got caught!
