I finally got rid of my landline phone last week! I got mt my cable bill, which is bundled (cable, internet and phone) and it was $30.00 more then usual! It turns out my phone bill went up because the one year deal is over with. I didn't want to pay for it anymore! Now i just have my cellphone! Now I am trying to e-mail my family with my new number! I am moving up in the world!

Although today we seldom use the land line, but we still keep it and we will not cancel it. Since we need to have a land line so that we can access to the internet. We connect the internet by ADSL and we should have a land line at home. I also like to have a land line at home because I don't have to pay for it when someone calls me. Whereas I have to pay for it when someone calls my mobile phone.

It is so much cheaper not having the land line anymore! My cellphone is a Tracfone. I have to buy minutes for it. I right now only do every three months and what minutes I don't use roll over. The only problem I have it I need to check my cell more often! I also like if I don't want to talk to certain person I can text them! I love using that!

I still have a landline because I have a home business and I am in the book...don't want to cut off a possibility of a customer who needs something!

Having a landline for business I can see! I wouldn't want to get rid of it if I had a home business, either! I never was in the phone book. I had an non listed phone number. When I first got on my own I did have it in the book. That didn't last long! I got sick of people calling who were drunk and stuff like that! I know no one I know will not miss calling me on my landline! They all know I also have a cellphone! My family has just found out and most of them,at this them, have my cellphone number.

More and more people are doing away with land lines. I had to have one when I lived in Virginia for a few months because with my cell I had no signal, I had to go stand in the middle of the street to make a call. But since I moved I only use my cell, no need for a land line, and cell's are so convenient, since you can take them anywhere. Don't know what I would do without mine!

I have had a cell phone almost 4 years. I had gottan just for emergancies but I ended up using it more and more! I also learned to text and do that from time to time. I had to tell my family but my sister! I have not got hold of her to tell her! Hopefully I will soon!

We also did away with our landline a couple of years back. Maybe about 3 or something. Since most of us have cellphones already, we figure it isn't really needed that much anymore as people nowadays try to get ahold of us through texting or calls on mobile phones. We did had a hard time trying to hook up the line for our fax in the bundle we got for our cellphone lines but somehow it worked out well in the end.

I am glad I am now using my cellphone as my only phone! I know other people who have done it. I know other people will go that way in the future. I also have learned to text. The only problem with a cellphone is I can't figure how to use the voice mail! I even had someone try to figure it out for me and he couldn't either! Oh well! Maybe some day!

These movements will be strange for you in future by using cell phone instead of a fixed land line. Only the problem will be with the catching of the good signal for cell pieces. I also disconnected my land connection last year and paid pending bills all. Now i am free with my land connection at all just as you. If there is a week signal for mobile, then what should i do for it?.... Here are no plenty of towers in our area. How to get rid of this issue for me with the usage of mobiles?..

I have a Tracfone and I don't have any problem with my connection when I am at home and most other places. I only have problems when I am at work. I can't use it indoors at work! If I have to use it I have to go outside to use it! I am not having problems adjusting to no landline! I should of done it sooner!
