Perveez Rasool, the highly talented cricketer from Jammu and Kashmir has bagged his maiden IPL contract. Pune Warriors have signed the promising all-rounder for IPL 2013. Rasool richly deserves the honors for his good showing against top quality sides like England and Australia in recent warm up games. I feel Pune Warriors have made a right choice and Rasool could prove to be great addition to their squad. It is nice that nowadays we have more number of smaller town cricketers making it big in the country and inspiring many others to follow suit.

When i heard a young spinner called Perveez Rasool has taken 7 wickets against the Australian XI i was very impressed. On checking his stats he looks solid with bat too. an all-rounder who can make a spot in the indian team with another couple of years in the domestic circuit. Then i heard he got a contract from the warriors and my hope got dashed. This tournament is like a hit or miss tournament for young talents. Extremely talented guys may have a poor season and goes back to domestic circuit while relatively less talented guys have a good season, get selected for the national team, dropped after a couple of series, gets eligible for more than 10 lakhs for the next IPL window and probably spend the remaining days carrying bottles or sold to another team. i sincerely hope he makes it big, if he got the talent.

The guy certainly seems to have the talent. If he keeps focused and keeps working on his game and grabs his chances, then sky is the limit. IPL I feel on the contrary is boon for such fringe cricketers to earn good money and to display their potential against top international cricketers and come into national reckoning.

The talent should get chance to prove itself and Perveez Rasool is indeed a very talented cricketer. He bowls very good off-spin which he showed against Australian team in the recent practice match as he bagged 7 wickets. His domestic record shows that he can bat also so he can play as a allrounder in team. Hopefully he will make full use of this opportunity to prove himself. Now he will inspire other cricketers from the valley to come forward.

He certainly is quite talented and has been performing consistently at domestic level. He has opened the doors for cricketers from the valley who can now aspire to play for the country.

That's a good news, this boy deserved it. It's been a long time since I've heard about any Indian spinner dominating like this even in domestic cricket, I'm fed up seeing this mediocre Indian spinners, I was hoping for someone with talent like Kumble to show up and hopefully, this guy will fill in that spot in playing 11. God bless him !!!

Yes, he is the first person to be included in IPL T20 from J&K. The guy does have the potential and with right grooming and opportunities could really shine on the big stage. He needs to remain focused and work on his game to really go far.
