well, kind of funny & sad discussion, its 2013, an Election year in Pakistan, we all knew our country biggest politicians are "MOST CORRUPT" But they are richest as well, If you read newspapers here you are excited, Every Political party start giving Free Property,Car & cash If you vote them, now those politician starts a dirty game to gain popularity, I'm sorry but 52% poor peoples here, I know poor peoples don't go anywhere but to Money & wealth, Its funny to say, do you want to earn free money??? or Wanna Free Car??? or need some cash??? come here & join any political party...I don't vote for sake of Money I vote for those who are on right way, Because I need corruption free country more than my own wealth...what you guys say??? In your country a politicians also playing this type of dirty game???? have a nice day..

I can understand that they are rich. But you have to ask yourself after they gave you a property and car, what is behind all that,is it something that will get in other way. I don't think I would trust the same the politician even if they give you something, there is always a catch, ( the motives) I would go with that.

I hate politicians. I seriously do. When I was a kid I didn't understand it all but nowadays I have learned how they can scam you into voting for them promising you a lot of good things but once they are elected, they don't do what they promised. We recently had to vote and I just scribbled on the paper haha I seriously don't care.

I really don't know that it is possible to say that there is one country in the world where the politicians are the most corrupt because I tend to think that politicians throughout the world are all corrupt. I seem to think that those people that end up winning elections are those that tend to be the best liars. I really can't think of a single politician that has been elected into office that really has upheld all of the promises that they made to their constituents after their term had started.

Yes, I am not hypocrite. I must say that the election here in our country is dirty also and biased. I mean, for be able for the candidates to sure their victory against their rival candidates, they are used to give money for the voters. Some promises to give a position in any local government agencies for jobs and will not anymore go through any difficulties like taking exams and or interviews from the superiors. I guess it is worse in your country because they are giving land and car while here in us, money and debts of gratitude are the usual thing owed by the winner candidates.

Sure it's everywhere. I just never heard of politicians attract voters by giving them porperties or cars, only small amount of money. Sometime ago, politicians in Philippines are very open in giving money to voters but when the students of various universities and the medias are working together to somehow prevent this, this corruption was minimized.

It is sad when politicians in governing positions care more about their own wealth than the welfare of those ordinary people who elected them into such places. It is sadder when the ordinary people accept such corrupt practices as normal, and be a part of it. Eventually the society in which corruptions run rampantly will suffer. Moral and justice will suffer as money can be used to buy their way in everything.
Education is the only way to awaken the ordinary folks to eliminate corruption so that their country can progress.

Hi, i am from India and world know how corrupt Indian politicians are. Can't compare with Pakistan's leaders but this can again be a good comparison game here as well, i bet India had much strength here. For winning elections they don't give such big things (as they them self want all these)but they offer govt job, TV, laptop, some gold etc. I believe politicians all over the world are same...
