..which is just as well really!
Wow, she's had some bargains though, including a new Tefal Electric Jug Kettle for £19.99 (reduced from £49.99) in Currys, a battery operated screwdriver (with bits) reduced from £9.99 to just over £8 in Homebase, plus a really nice pair of trousers for £12, reduced from £35, in M&S.
She's gone home happy!
Obviously, I've ordered a few things for her online but can't you tell she gets paid in the middle of the month lol.
On a negative note, our Ford Focus was playing up again (this time a break pad has 'gone' by the sounds of it) and John's Dad couldn't give his own son a lift home after he'd driven a 200 mile round trip to drop Mum off..as he'd been drinking alcohol this afternoon. I pointed out he'd driven his Mrs to the hospital when she was choking on a chicken bone whilst pissed a while back, why should it be different this time.
They're also holidaying in Blackpool but, fortunately, not to see my Mum and Dad..midweek 'cos they're tight and don't want to spend extra for a room at weekend.
Hopefully, my FIL will get to see the car before travelling. In the meantime John has to catch the train but I told him it will be a nice change from all the driving he's been doing over weekend.
Bless 'im.

Yes, she did (sorry, I forgot to mention it) and I ordered her some Peek online which can be used to clean allsorts, including brass and all other different types of metal. I think she wants to sort the extension rod more than anything as that isn't brass/brass plated.
I've looked at the area the light would go (upstairs landing) and I reckon it will look great in its new home, fingers crossed.
She loved our new light, my desk, lamp, hand rail AND my red fireplace. She thought it looked better 'in the flesh' lol. She came up with a good idea, and that was to move my Boston Fern from the coffee table (in front of a radiator and it gets too hot there) to the tiled hearth in front of the fire that doesn't work anymore. He likes it there!

Didn't I tell you that your mum would like the fireplace once she saw it in real?

Is myLot back on?
Sounds like you had a lovely time with your mum, as always.

Oh, I didn't have time to MyLot over weekend. Too busy ordering wood bleach, etc for Mum!
She would be DEADLY online if she had a laptop so I guess it's a good thing she's not whilst she's at home!
