The first day of work in 2013

Haha,but many people who give the red packet to me will give a words in the same time"hope you can give the red packet next year." I am no longer young and all my friends and workmates and relatives hope that I can get marry soon.

Happy New Year elenaliu! Well, I have been receiving this "angpao" as they call it from an office mate who is half Chinese since last year. I heard that before the end of the year I should give the one given to me to another person. So I gave it to my husband before the end of 2012. After that I received another one from the same office mate. I am keeping it inside my wallet because they say it is a lucky charm. Hopefully my wallet will always be full of money this year. lol. Happy & Prosperous Chinese New Year to you and family. Yes, today is my first day of work too for this Chinese New Year. My lady boss gave each and everyone of us a red packet, I am sooo happy! It is for good luck and blessings! I too also gave to my colleagues who is still single (not yet married).

Those are small envelopes with money in it, right? When I lived in Jakarta, a friend used to give those out to my kids. They are called 'ang pau' by locals there. Welcome to myLot, by the way... I hope you'll enjoy it here!

Good for you! I used to receive those red packets every Chinese New Year from one of the partners in the firm where I used to work (he's part Chinese). Now, I get no more. I bet it would be cool to start the work year in a much later date as against to everyone else going to work the first week of the year.

Good for you. I have not received red packets for many many years. How I miss the days when I was a child, I could get a lot of money from my relatives and family. But now I had to give money to little children. But still, I like spring festival.
