Okay, I'm sick...AGAIN....but I didn't go to the doctor to get treated or talked too with disrespect. Sorry Mr. I Know EVERYTHING, that 'squeezing' me in put your day in such turmoil. Okay, I know I'm not feeling well, but geeza - use some manners already. Have you experienced this? A Rude Doctor? How long were your feathers ruffled about it. I know I definitely won't be seeing this person again!

To be frank, I do not know how it is in other countries but in Indian government hospitals they can be a lot rude. I do not blame them because they have to see over 100 patients a day and most of time people do not stay in line and try to get inside the doctor chamber without anyone calling their name. They would fight with doctors and many would not even let them have their lunch even at 3 pm because they want that he should give them free medicine for cough first and would enter his room coughing while he is having his lunch. Also in Indian govt hospitals they do lot more than treating patients. They do checking of subcenters, work in IPPi and many other govt prog and dont get paid extra. So what I feel that 99% of time doctors are right in being rude, patient like it or not. Also well out here they have so many patients ( good doctors) that one patient less won't effect them simply because they are too over worked.

I fully agree with you and top of it if he sees 100 patients he is still paid same as he is paid if he didnt see any. Though not all doctors are rude but what I have seen is some days the first patient would really irritate the doctor and he would be asking irrevalent question like hey doc can i eat banana.. he says ok , then he would start to leave and ask can i eat dal, he says ok, he leaves and as soon as he reach the door, can i have tea too and this goes on and on. Then hey is it necessary to take medicine for 3 days, shall i buy only for one day and things like this and when doc tells him to let him see other patients, the guy starts fighting. Now think this poor guy has to see over 100 patients a day and the first or second guy fought for no reason, how his mood is going to be. No one care for him and if he earns in millions then he deserves it because he worked so hard and gives people life which is priceless.

That's horrible. Truely the doctors there are over worked and for a people to be so disrespectful of him is beyond words. It is very different here, where the doctors are paid per patient visit and it's expensive visit as well. This particular doctor just was rude because asked him to re-write a prescription. I still don't understand why it was such a big deal to him, but have talked to others in my community and they said they won't go see him anymore either because he is out right rude to deal with.

There are a lot of doctors who has that attitude. And I guess it is brought about by having long hours of hospital duty. It is true that they should not behave that way in front of their patients and doctors like them are expected to be professional all the time. Tired or not, they should provide a good service to their patients.

Hello Kprofgames, I´m worried about your sickness, I hope that you get better soon. Sure I´ve been with rude doctors. Specially I remember when I was pregnant for third time, the doctor that was going to deliver my baby was very rude, and as it was a private hospital a week before the delivery date I changed him. He wasn´t going to treat me rude in my special day. Oh no! And I wasn´t going to pay him to treat me rude. No way. You have the right to be treated good, with respect, with dignity. Blessings Kprofgames... dainy

Good for you! Not a lot of people would switch up doctors that close to delivery. Way to stand your ground. I agree we don't need to be treated that way. They are after all in a 'service' industry and we are their customers. No customer returns for the same service if they aren't treated right. Thank you for your concerns. We are getting hammered with Influenza here and I'm really ready to be out of this flue season.

I have visited a rude doctor few years ago and after that again I didnot go to that doctor as it is too important for a doctor how to spean and behave with patients.

I agree. I won't be going back to this doctor again. They need to behave towards their customers.
