I recently bought a Induction Cooking Plate for myself. I havent cooked on it much. It is a cooking plate which uses a magnet theory which requires electricity. I used it to make tea and fry a few things. I havent used it for more than that. It is giving me some problems with the voltage. Has anyone used it and have you used it for things other than just heating and making tea.

I have the heater cooking plate, I think it's same like what you describe, I can cook at the top of it using pan, it's using electric but believe me it's kinda dangerous cause of high voltan usage

I am not sure. The hot plate and induction is different as far as I know. Induction has its own set of cookware, all the cookers, pans and everything is different for induction cooking. And yes high voltage could be a problem.

I haven't had one, or used one ever. But I do want to have one because I kinda like the idea of a smokeless and odorless stove. But what puts some doubt in my mind is that it might cause me a lot on electricity. Condos nowadays only allow induction stoves in their units.

Really no gas stove in the condos. Well it does increase the electricity bill but am sure it is not much. Again it depends on each one't style of cooking.
