It is of course, another gun control bill...Everyone who is cool has one...A bit of a competition going on there on capitol hill... Well this one takes the cake...Hidden within the normal garbledygook...was a little foot note that said..."The police would have the right and duty to enter and search the homes and businesses of any one who owned a "scary" named gun type before the bill was passed." Well that certainly took care of the 4th ammendment in one little sentence... The sponsor of this bill came out in defense of himself claiming that he did not know this was even in the bill...He said it should never have been in there...Right, I believe him don't you...

Actually, I do believe he didn't know it was in there. Why? Because most of our politicians on both sides of the fence don't read the bills. They only know the BIG PICTURE of the bill and then skip the little picture of the bill. I couldn't even tell you the last year every politician sat down and literally read everything in a bill. It was probably well before I was even born, probably before my mother or grandmother were even born too. They get the bills, skim over them, then vote on or sign them. Maybe they just get an outline of talking points. So he probably didn't know it was in there until someone decided to read it. Ah but that is what we all vote for... our politicians on both sides to NOT read the bills in their entirety.

He was the sponsor...He wrote and proposed the bill...He knew what was in it. He was just caught and had to backpedal...If someone supposedly added it behind his back...Yeah, right, he was still responsible for the content of the bill...Another Pelosi, just pass it to see what is in it?

Many people do not know this but lobbyist write many of of the laws. Politicians just do what Aida said and then sign them. This is what happens when we let money buy our politicians.

You may be right, but apparently it was only a 4 page bill. If this scumbag, and everyone else who supported this bill, couldn't find the time to read 4 pages, that's beyond pathetic.

Uh - oh. Somebody's hand was caught in the cookie jar. This would be so much easier if they just didn't put the bills out there for people to see.... It scares the hell out of me that they even wrote this crap on paper. Who was the representative that proposed the bill? He deserves to become famous!

Here ya go - Sen. Adam Kline of Seattle, a Democrat who is described by the Seattle Times as “hyper-attuned to civil-liberties issues,” sponsored the legislation without reading the eight page bill. “I made a mistake,” he told the newspaper. “I frankly should have vetted this more closely.” Senator Adam Kline of Seattle - what a hero!
