If you are unsure of something, ask help from someone whom you think is knowledgeable enough to teach you the things that you need to learn. I don't see anything wrong in asking for help. I am sure that your boss would be more than happy if you are able to pull this off.

Hi Elenaiu, are you an aeronautical/Mechanical engineer? If not, then it is really tough for you. But once you have the you should not sit ideally. You can different aircraft in the internet and make a prototype picture to design the aircraft. Aircraft design is not done by one or two times.
