Confused with a bible Passage

I was really confused on what this passage means because I myself do want to be rich and at the same time, I also want to be faithful and be closer to God. So here it goes, "It is easier for a camel to pass through a needle's eye, than a rich man to go to heaven". Any inputs and interpretation would be highly appreciated.

What I think it means is that with more money you are more likely to commit more sins. As you will have more you will want even more and then eventually you have allowed money the devils number one way of getting to people to corrupt you, and you cant fit a camel through the eye of a needle the same way that a millionare will not get to Heaven the camel is to big and the millionare's soul is to muddied by the things that he did to get more and more money. Just my thoughts though.
