the campaign period is just started, i still haven't seen an entertaining political ad from our senatorial candidates. i'm not expecting the ads to tell the truth. if that happens, i'm sure that the end of the world as we know it is already on hand. actually, the more i think about it, the more i believe that we the people paid for these political advertisements. don't mind the small almost unreadable disclaimer at the ads saying that the supporters or friends of the candidates paid for the ad. the funds were probably part of the national or local coffers (depending on the current position of the candidate) and was magically aligned by the candidate or his/her party to be used as funds to fund his/her campaign. seriously, what has been shown so far??? the daang matuwid (translated in english, it means the right way) ad of the coalition of the incumbent president and the buhay mo ay gaganda (translated in english, it means 'your life will be better'). then there's the individual ads of the candidates themselves showing them as part of the common people listening to their pleas or trumpeting their achievements in the past. then there are ads that show famous personalities like actors and actresses or even ads wherein the candidates sing and dance. anyway, these ads are devoid of entertainment value. lol! they are wasting my precious tv time. lol! anyway, what type of things do you want to see in political ads? what ads have tickled your fancy? pray tell if you actually voted for a candidate becuase of his/her political ad? again, don't ask for the truth in these political ads unless you want the world to end. feel free to chime in my fellow mylotters!!!

All candidates say that your life will be better, its their undying slogan. Who would vote for the person that said your life was going to get worse? I feel that candidates should not just be of the people but for the people, they need to be checked and rechecked and then checked on again. Any law that comes from their desk should benefit those who put them in office, if it only benefits them, vote them out and get a representative that has their best interest at heart.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Ha ha ha, well i can understand your situation very well and i think u should stay patient for the campaigners would leave no stone unturned to catch the attention of the voters towards them, they are aware of the fact that without adding spice or entertainment to the campaign it would be difficult for them to win also. What say?
