So Jack Swagger may not go to the big dance after all.

TMZ reported today on some WWE News that may effect the World Heavyweight Championship match at Wrestlmania 29.
It is being reported that Jack Swagger was arrested after SmackDown tapings in Biloxi, MS for driving under the influence as well as possession of marijuana. Although both of these charges are misdemeanors it could really make or break the WHC match at Wrestlemania where Swagger was set to face champion Alberto Del Rio.
Now I am from Mississippi and I know how this works, if it was maybe Mark Henry or R-Truth or Kofi Kingston they might have spent a few nights in jail just because. But since it is Jack Swagger he is just going to be charged with the misdemeanors and have to deal with punishment from Vince later on.
I do believe that he will be pulled from the card; as I said in another discussion he has no relevance and really isn't popular. So in turn Vince would have no problem pulling Swagger from the title match and replacing him. Now if it was someone like Randy Orton or Evan Bourne or R-Truth then they would get suspended for 30 days; come back to have the match, and then go away again to serve the rest of their 60 day suspension. Swagger is different though and honestly I wouldn't be said to see him out of the WHC match, I don't believe he should have been in it in the first place.
So have do you guys feel that Jack Swagger should be punished by WWE?

hi there the demonic angel.
wow! just wow! these wrestlers never learn their lesson do they? anyway, i'm unsure why jack swagger went under the radar back then. i always thought it was because of an injury. if he had previously violated wwe's wellness policy and then i guess he will be suspended for 60 days and he might miss the big dance like what you said.
ultimately, it will be wwe's decision to punish him or not. i just hope that wwe does the right thing here. it will be too bad if jack swagger misses wrestlemania becuase of this but truth be told, he is the one at fault and there is no one else to blame.
i wonder how wwe creative handles this situation for the world heavyweight championship match at wrestlemania. anyway, that deserves a different discussion altogether.

They might end up replacing him with someone that was in the elimination chamber with him, I'm leaning more towards the last person that was pinned which would be Randy Orton but they may find another way like a battle royale or gaunlet match to determine his replacement if indeed he does get suspended.
When he went under the radar for 6 months it was due to injury and he and his wife had just had a daughter so he wanted to spend time with them.
Not sure what the punishment will be but WWE release a statement saying "Mr. Swagger is responsible for his own personal mistakes" by saying that it could mean several things could happen. He could be suspended, fired, or just simply fined.

i think jack swagger will be suspended although i'm not sure if they'll let him still headline wrestlemania. it doesn't make much sense if they let him headline wrestlemania and he suddenly goes under the radar again. all the build up for the rivalry will be left for naught.
randy orton stepping up against del rio in wrestlemania seems to be a good back up plan. del rio and orton had their rivlary before and at that time orton was the face and del rio was the heel. i read reports about having orton go back to being a heel to have a rivalry going with a baby face del rio. that sure about sounds just right now.
anyway, i do hope jack swagger still gets the breaks due to him. i have always been high with the guy and i'd love to see him in the spot light again.

here's an idea and it might pan out nicely given the circumstances.
alberto del rio and jack swagger continue with their planned wrestlemania match. it is a back and forth affair and it the end, jack swagger is victorious but not after undergoing a grueling match and being submitted to multiple arm bar locks all throughout different times of the match. after near falls and after exchanging finishing maneuvers, jack swagger finally clinches the win with a gut-wrench powerbomb.
however, no sooner than he is announced the champion, we see big e langston come from the crowd and attack jack swagger from behind. the new champion tries his best to fight off the surprise attack but ziggler attacks as well. after ziggler hits swagger with the briefcase and hits the zigzag, he goes for the pin and win the world heavyweight title. after, the match, we see zeb coulter in cahoots with the group of aj, dolph ziggler, and big e langston.
of course, immediately after wrestlemania, jack swagger is meted the suspension and when he comes back, we will see a nice rivalry brewing between him and dolph ziggler.

Well these people get arrested or do something all the time now days haha. I mean he may have to wait to work, but I would not put anything passed the WWE especially when money is involved. I mean if anything they will make him sit for a few months if that and then he will be back. I am sure he may not go to the event though, but he may be back after a few months who knows.
