Many friends of mine invited me to join them on their Ballroom Dancing. But I don't have idea of what is ? Ballroom dancing. Is it dancing with a ball on their hands ? or just simple dance as a form of exercise.

Yup! They also have cha-cha, samba and basically other dancesports stuff that we see on TV. It is fun, but they always tease people that ballroom dancing is for oldies only. Well, mostly because it is the only activity that everyone can enjoy. Whether they are good dancers or not, who can resist good tunes, right?

Ballroom dancing is being in a sort of club wherein they dance to the tunes of the old kind of music like swing, boogies, chacha, rhumba, and other latin dance. In the Philippines, we find a lot of the old folks crowding Ballroom Dancing clubs. I figured, that the reason why they love this is because back in the days, dancing has been really part of their life.

Hi Teo! That is a good question. Many years ago, I didn't like ballroom dancing but a friend of mine invited me to one and then I also enrolled in a ballroom dancing class so now I sort of like it although I do not really know everything. Basically, I love dancing. So I go to ballroom dancing because I love to dance. In our place, there is a good group of people who are into ballroom dancing. It is a fun way to exercise and meet people as well.

Yeah, but I don't like watching boys danced like as if it is easy for him to get along with ladies as if no respect to the beautiful body of that lady I felt jealous, but I don't know the reason why his partner is sometimes overjoyed that she even closed her eyes

Ballroom dancing is fun Sir Teo. Each dance has it's own steps but one thing remains, each dance is performed by man and a woman so you will be needing a partner :) Examples of ballroom dancing are waltz, chacha, zumba, tango, mambo and foxtrot. There are modern ballroom dancing nowadays where in it's a combination of few steps with modern beat. Why don't you try it sometime? It's good for burning calories plus you'll get to bond with your friends more. About the reason why it is called ballroom dancing, well, maybe because you will dance with disco ball lights in a large hall hahaha

I think it is nothing to do with a ball. It is holding hands and moving around the ballroom (a ball is a place where one does formal dancing. It is derived from where the rich and the nobility would hold a party and get together for dances.) It has nothing to do with exercise as the ladies where long gowns and the men are dressed formally although when it is masque dance they wear costumes.

I like watching that ballroom dancing and how I wish I dance like them but I'm a hopeless. You should try because aside that it's exercise, it's really fun and could be intimate moment with your wife, just how I see from movies.
