Double Standard

Iv'e heard that when a guy dates many women hes a stud a dude cool but when a woman dates many guys at once or so many in her life shes considered dirty or not right. When a man marries an older woman hes cool man dude or so people say, but when a woman marries man too much older than her shes looking for a father figure or something. the When a girl plays with dolls that's ok but when a boy does it it's not right or they could be gay or gonna be gay from it. A girl plays with trucks and tries sports and shes just a tomboy but a guy does painting gardening any thing that seems like a woman would do hes gay or not right or too feminine. Guys can play football hockey all sorts of sports but women are not allowed to play football baseball or a lot of other pro sports. All this makes me think of a double standard like it's ok for women to do somethings but not guys. Or it's ok for guys to do certain things but not women. Why is society like this and why the double standard?

I believe that the reason for all of these double standards is because of the fact that the societal norms have made things the way that they seem to be. However, I don't believe that there are laws that say that a woman cannot play sports, they are just not typically brought up to play all of the sports that guys play. With the seeing multiple men/women at the same time, this is something that I don't think is acceptable for anyone, but I do believe that it is easier for men to get away with it than woman because of the fact that they don't have the potential of carrying the proof of an affair within their body for nine months. It might not seem fair, but I really do understand why things are viewed in the way that they are viewed.

I'm tired of the double standards. When I worked 2 jobs I was called a bad mother. Sorry was supporting my family because my drunk husband wouldn't. When was working 12 or 14 hour days was told I was a bad housekeeper....sorry but I'm never home. When I joined the service at an early age (17 I think) was told that I wasn't feminine. I too dated an older man, you know what? He treated me with respect and not like an object. Each person is an individual with different interests, minds and ways of thinking. I think it's the stereotypes that are pounded into our heads when we're younger that prevent us from being who we really want to be. Rant over

As bad as it may seem, but , guys do have the perks! Society dictates that a man can do whatever he wants and be with several women if he wishes to coz nothing will happen to them. As opposed to women, they could be seen as being a s**t or a wh***. Society would only want a woman to e dedicated to a single man all her life.
