the ruined surprise

My partner has booked for us to go to Dublin in the South or Ireland for our anniversary on the 8th of March and I am so excited! We are staying for 2 nights in a cosy little BnB that is only 10 minutes from the city centre which is a shopping heaven, and I cannot wait! This was actually supposed to be a surprise, but because of my partners surgery, and the fact that one of us had to make sure we were saving money for it, she had to tell me. Obviously I was still thrilled that we were going, but I was a little annoyed the surprise had to be ruined. Has this ever happened to you, where a surprise was ruined? My partner is terrible at ruining surprises anyway. She bought me a little necklace for our anniversary, and gave me it this morning haha!! What do you think of this?

A ruined surprise becomes a shock. I experienced one too. I had gone to complete some pending work of mine at a place near to my boyfriend's office. I didn't tell him that I would be coming there. After I was done with my work, I landed up in front of his office, called him up to ask if he was busy. He told me that he was driving and can't talk. I was shocked and asked him whether he has gone to office or not. Not to my delight, he was on leave that day!!! I was disheartened, my surprise was ruined. I was sure that if he would have been in office, he would have come running to meet me.

Hi there Chicks Dig Scars! I'm sorry about that. I hope that everything goes fine with your partner's surgery. I think that it's really sweet. I also experienced having a ruined surprise but in a different way. For my husband's birthday, I was planning to have a compilation of video message from his friends, old and new so I sent them message through text, and Facebook. Sadly, no one was able to submit a video so the surprise did not even happen.
