Somebody got my daughter's money!

My daughter lost her money just this afternoon during recess time. During recess time, all students are required to go out of their rooms and take their snacks at the Cafeteria. My daughter did not take her bag and wallet with her when she went out since I was there to give her snack. (She doesn't bother to bring her wallet since she doesn't buy anything for snacks) The amount of money in her wallet was just very small and I purposely gave it to her just in case there are contributions. Anyway, when my daughter and her classmates went back to their classroom, they were shocked to see my daughter's bag and wallet on the floor. She actually is the fifth victim now. My daughter reported the incident to the Administrator. I have a feeling that the person who got her and her classmates' money is just their classmate. By the way, my daughter is just a second grader and last year, many of their classmates also lost their money. Their classmates this year and last year are just the same. I guess it's time to teach my daughter to become a secret investigator herself so she will find out.

I hope the culprit is not her classmate or any second grader, it is a pity that someone that age could steal. I hope the school could do something about this and kindly teach your daughter how to be more careful of her belongings.

I think, since there were already instances of lost money in the classrooms, your daughter should have been reminded to always bring with her wallet with her. That way, she can be sure that her money will not be stolen. Maybe the principal should make a way to entrap the thief, so this thing could stop all together.

Hi dorisday, in such cases, it is guessed that your daughter's money might have been taken by one of your daughter's classmates. My two sons lost money tiffin carriers, handkerchiefs, pens, pencils, erasers several times. Their classmates used to take these items from them. Have a very nice day.

It is really time to find the responsible for all those incidents! I think schools now have their corridor security cameras and maybe that can be of help to Administrators to find out who should be punished. For your daughter, she must be more aware on her things now and try to keep her valuables on a safe place. :)

That is sad. That means that the thief is just a young kid. I wonder what kind of upbringing that kid received from their home. He or she needs help. At least your daughter learned to be more careful of her belongings.

There is a high possibility that the culprit behind all the thievery is just the same person and i am amazed how that kid is able to steal his/her classmate's money without getting caught. If the same thing continues happening, the kid may become more greedy that it may lead for him/her to hurt and bully others just to get what he/she wants. Teaching your daughter to become a secret investigator is a great idea for it will not benefit only her classmates but also the culprit to become more aware that what he/she does is wrong.
