Even in a tourist place, we arent safe. I spoke to friends there, who say news people there are saying they were lucky many more were not killed by this.
So sad...
Some have reported, that they thought it was a movie being shot there.
I hate to read news like that.
God bless those afected by this there.

maybe there should be a implant in our brain that if we are going to do something wrong the implant sends a signal to the police and they come and arrest you this is about the only way that this kind of stuff will ever stop

When I think of Las Vegas I think of Gambling, slot machines and Elvis Presley type marriages, and the desert with intense heat. I certainly don't think of it as a volatile and unsafe. It's a big tourist hot-spot isn't it, isn't a shame that these wonderful places are destroyed by these kind of murders, it can't do much for Las Vegas's tourism trade.

Remember that T-shirt that made some guy rich in the "Forrest Gump" movie which bears: "S.h.i.t. Happens!"
I think that's precisely what happened in this Vegas fatal shooting which sounds like a gang war, loan shark collection or car jacking gone wrong. Crimes are prevalent everywhere and Vegas is no exception. I know of cities in the US that have high crime rates that are still regarded as popular and hot tourist spots.
I feel out of sort with such news too but like most of the time I would ask myself these questions like the following.
Why isn't police patrols increased in these trouble spots?
Cost cutting measure may be responsible here or the timing where it happened at the time when the patrol was somewhere else.
Are police these days restless, that they forgot about crime prevention?
I have seen in many cities including mine, that police like to be in the thick of action than to be discouraging crime from taking place. Like the unmonitored and non patrolled highway or speedway waiting for speeding accidents, overweight cargo trailers accidents and not forgetting the reckless storage of explosive cargoes explosion waiting to happen or had happened destroying and killing along with it.
Could these incidents be avoided and prevented?
I think so because instead using an awful amount of effort and resources to solve crimes I always feel that it is better to devote that same amount to prevent it successfully before such damages is done.
