Curry.. Grilled.... It's a meow...

Grilled... and curry - three bowls of spicy curry were served. I saw the face of my male co workers go so excited and as foreigner, they were excited to let me have a taste of it. Since they were insistent ... I suspect that this is something hmm not fishy... but different. Anyway, they were so excited and really insisting to eat it. I noticed that one female teacher doesn't like to eat too, but here comes an older co worker who took a spoon and ate it. See she ate.. they told me.. Ok OK... i don't like to disappoint and burst their bubbles.. so I took one cut. Told them, what is this? Thai nationals don't speak English so... I spoke in Thai.. "Arai mai?" they all laughed. Ngo? (snake?) nooooo .. not snake... hmmm... maa (dog?) mai chai(means no)... still suspecting... I really asked what.. chicken chicken they were all telling me but with big grin ... hmmmm... ok ok.. they said.. "Aroi Mai"(Delicious?) I said Yes"

Another platter came in.. this time it was grilled. So I really feel awkward because they were all laughing. I asked again.. they said, chicken chicken.. huh? this? chicken? I told them.. No it is not chicken....

Then someone in the group said.. "meow" (Thai term for cat). I knew it. "it was a wild cat)

.. then someone took something from his mouth... yes a bullet. hahaha

It was a real wild cat, I saw the raw when someone brought the uncooked meat. I did not take picture of it, that's not good to see.

On my earlier post I went to a place in North Thailand, at Pak Nai. Of course since it was a working trip, we also had a little party at night. Food are the usual but really spicy, well that's how they prepare food and I can't complain. anyway, they are delicious. Food were served ... and we were having dinner. yum yum... a little later... ............ three bowls spicy curry were served. I saw the face of my male co workers go so excited and as foreigner, they were excited to let me have a taste of it. Since they were insistent ... I suspect that this is something hmm not fishy... but different. Anyway, they were so excited and really insisting to eat it. Raw Fish - no.. It is not what you are thinking. True that this fish is still raw however, we will still cook this in a boiling soup in front of us together with other raw, vegetables, eggs, pork, and chicken, and sea foods.

hmmm yummmmmmmmmmmmmy
I know what you mean... but can you resist this one?

Well i cannot think about eating raw foods at all. In India apart from raw vegetables, i have never seen anyone eating raw meat. In fact here there are few people only who eat meats other than fish, goat, lamb and chicken. I just could not see that picture of the fish there. One would not eat food for days. I have seen people from China and places as such eat raw fishes a lot. I have never tried sushi, but does that contains raw fish and nothing?
