I really have an issue about these pet shops in malls that leave these poor animals inside without even a fan to give them air. Malls open at 10 am and imagine the long hours of being inside the shop which is inside the closed mall for many hours. We happened to pass by one of these shops because of an event which opened one area of the mall and so we were able to get inside and go around before 10 am. We saw the pets hyperventilating. In fact, among the hamsters which were cramped in one small cage, two of them are dead. The dogs too are hyperventilating. Poor creatures. Why are these pet shops allowed to do this? I hope some animal welfare groups will go to these pet shops in malls and demand that the owners do something about the condition of the pets when the malls close.
It's too bad.

I would never buy pets from a pet shop they see animals as commodities and profit, not creatures that need air, light, water, food etc... I tried to drum it into my ex NOT to buy animals from a pet shop, that there were plenty of animals from sancturies and homing centres that wanted loving homes. It's disgraceful how some of these pet shops are run without any care to the animals, I am surprised the RSPCA and other animal charities do not inspect them or make spot checks.

It's really sad, especially when the malls are closing, it hard leaving them in there. Hopefully they have a well ventilated area for the animals. I know most shops here are on the outside and mostly the owners have their home at the back of the shop so that they can check on their animals from time to time. Malls are not a place for animals I do agree on that. It's for clothes and food, but not animals and pets.
