Does anyone have a Bengal Cat?

My husband had 2 Bengal cats when I married him. I just can't seem to get used to the way they act. They're not friendly and cuddly like the regular cats I used to have. They run away when we try to pet them. Sometimes when we're watching tv they get on our laps, but they don't stay very long. They act like they're nervous. Cutting their nails is impossible! And they don't eat as much cat food as my old cats did. If anyone else has Bengals, please tell me if yours acts this way too.
