lol. i was able to crawl to my back yard and smoke a cigarette and have coke a cola in peace and quiet. i was able to think and enjoy my little time outside. it's quiet in my daughter's room too (the music blares into her room, because of where her room is) and she could concentrate on some homework in peace quiet. i wish it were like that all the time, but i will have to listen to it again tomorrow. sigh. how powerless i feel against this music bully. lol. neighbor from hell.

I do sympathise as I've had to put up with neighbours like this in the past. On either side are rented properties by two different Housing Associations. At the moment I can honestly say we're actually lucky as BOTH SIDES are even quieter than I am..and that's saying something. It's been that way for about 10 months, something like that. Mind you, it's taken years (2005 to be exact) to get to this point. Me complaining (I think) has had an influence on - especially - the placement of one of the neighbours. I can only hope and pray the neighbours on both sides are long term. Is there anyone in authority you can complain to regarding the Mexican music? We have the Environmental Health (Council) if it gets really bad..and the police too. Had them round a few times in the middle of the night!

the only thing i fear is that she will know for a fact it's me and retaliate. i have had experiences with that before and it almost cost me my family. so, i am afraid of calling, now that i think about it.

well, i am the only one who is affected by her music because i live right next to her. who ever else is around us either is her friends, or don't care because they are not close enough to here the music.

Yes, I do know what you mean. When I contacted Environmental Health years ago over a particularly bad anti-social neighbour I was sent a log/letter to write down the time he was noisy or disruptive. The only problem with that was..HE would receive a letter letting him know that someone had complained about him. Now, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out it was me and he came round to the front door, knocking on it, calling me allsorts through my letterbox. Fortunately, he didn't TRY the handle. If he had done he would've been IN THE HOUSE. This is why the front door is locked when my husband is at work. After that little episode it made me realise how vulnerable I am in here on my own. However, at least the little runt was arrested (for something unconnected) and thrown out of the house for non-payment of rent. He was the first in a long line of 'nomarks' as I call them..but all is well now..thankfully. I don't know what else to suggest about your noisy neighbour. Has anyone else mentioned it to you or does the noise just affect you and your family? You could all get together and complain. Safety in numbers and all that.

Maybe they had their electric cut off, after not paying the bill...

I am actually sitting here feeling angry for you as I know first hand what it's like to have damn right selfish, ignorant neighbours who think they can do what they like and sod everyone else. It's frustrating because you can't do anything about it and they can carry on being a nuisance without fear of reprisal.

Try ear plugs, you can usually buy sever pair in asmall package. Mexican music is very fun, it has a lot of energy, but a continuous diet of this and loud on top of that could get very annoying fast. Hope the ear plugs work for you.

I'm glad you finally had some peace and quiet even if just for a day. I know what it's like to have alot of noise when you want or need quiet. Tho there really isn't anything i can do about the nose when it's here by my house because i live next door to the American legion. When they throw a party it is very loud and the last one they had the music was blaring and people fighting. It made my 2 dogs bark and this was late into the night when most my neighbors were trying to sleep. My neighbors tho don't play loud music and my street is usually pretty quiet til there is a party next door at the American Legion. One neighbor across the street from me said she did call the police about the noise and the fighting but nothing came of it and the party went on. So i know how you feel and am glad you got some peace and quiet for at least a day.
