the shield needs to be involved in a new story line and here are my ideas...

first, make them tag team champions!!!
yes, you heard it right... much as i like the dysfunctional team hell no of kane and daniel bryan as wwe tag team champions, i do feel that they have overstayed their welcome. in the most recent raw show, they battled and won over the primetime players in a handicap match. kane had one arm tied at his back and bryan was blindfolded. if wwe creative needs to resort to something like this to make a tag team match interesting, then it means that we need the title to change hands.
the build up for this could be the shield ambushing both or either one of team hell no. of course, this boils over at wrestlemania where the shield finally get their first tag team title championships! this has been done before by demolition and the spirit squad and any of the three shield members can defend the tag team titles. there is no better way to crown the shield's ascension than to make them tag team champions at wrestlemania!!!
the second story line involves the shield losing badly at wrestlemania leading to their disbandment. of course, this one in my mind just doesn't make sense. the shield has been winning at their three on three matches besting the likes of team hell no, john cena, sheamus, ryback, and even chris jericho. so for the shield to lose at the grandest stage of all is a big letdown. anyway, the shield has been getting beat up by the duo of sheamus and randy orton. of course a handicap match doesn't cut it so to even matters and to clear his name cm punk joins the duo of sheamus and randy orton. this will be the start of cm punk's return to being a face. at first, we see sheamus and orton skeptical of cm punk but eventually cm punk proves his worth and gets the win for his team.

I've noticed the shield lately and the quiet among them is probably the strongest, he has the biggest arms with muscles.
Maybe he will have a nice solo career if the shield ever get separate. I guess it will happen at the far future.
In my opinion, the 3 of them together deserve to get a tag team championship match where one of them will stay out of the ring and help them from the outside, lol.
One thing is for sure, each of them separately, is not a real deal. Rayback is stronger than each of them alone.
It will be nice to see how each of them can solo without the help of the others. Maybe they can set up a match of the strongest shield member ( the one who makes the power bomb) against one of the other wrestlers and see what he worth. Maybe he is strong enough to face the top wrestlers.
I hope whatever they do, they will keep on making their cool ambushes on other wrestlers, saying something is not right there and needed to get fixed. Bring the justice, Shield.

hi stringer.
the shield will eventually break up i think. however, currently, there is still that unfinished business with ryback. a three-on-one handicap on ryback might be too much of a hard sell so perhaps a gauntlet match involving the four wrestlers is in order. i would definitely want to see that.
the ambushes can continue but only if it is pushing s strong storyline. i remember seeing the championship match at nxt. it took the whole nxt roster to take care of the shield. it just made the nxt roster look weak.

two other the shield story lines that i thought of are the shield getting new members... possibly bo dallas and the other wrestlers from nxt. i know, i know, this sounds like nexxus all over again but when nexxus got cm punk and mason ryan, there was renewed interest in the group so i'm guessing the same thing will work for shield.
the second story line involves divulging the mastermind behind the shield. paul heyman is an obvious choice so there's no fun there. vince mcmahon, most likely but not quite... it just doesn't fit together. my best bet would be dusty rhodes. yes, the 'american dream'!!!
think about it, he was nxt general manager and although at nxt, he hated the shield, he can say that it was all a ploy to keep people guessing. dusty rhodes can say that he wants to be relevant again and no other way to be more relevant that to get a band of rogue wrestlers meting out justice dusty rhodes-style.

I'm not that familiar with the WWE, but, I sometimes watch some of the latest events at YouTube. (too bad I can't see the elimination chamber, but, at least I know the results).
I think getting involved with other wrestling corporations is less relevant because of the competition for popularity, I'm not sure the WWE will try to mention any other league...Maybe the ECW, I remember they were together and the wrestlers were fighting here and there.
I can't think of a new storyline for the shield though. It's not so common at the WWE to make 3 vs 3 as tag team, keep going with the ambush will probably stop because of WWE wrestlers will have enough of it and start attacking them too.
The shield will need to do something else, I guess.
Maybe the shield will try to find another something wrong with a lack of justice. The problem is to think what the fans start to complain about... It can be John Cena wins all the time...it can be the great khali loses all the time (It's really not fair, I always see him loses at Youtube, I think the Shield got to help him in a way).
