Baba Ramdev has announced his intention to start a political party. I think he has 30-50 lakh devoted followers who have benefitted for his yoga teaching. I think his approach has been very good. He taught the majority of people for FREE and his ayurvedic medicines are also a hit with the masses. His success in his business has proved his expertise. The ruling party has tried to defame him without success. His lectures and teachings about economics, medicine, health and fitness have shown him to be a model citizen who is energetic, hard working, morally upright, religously tolerant, people oriented and a leader. I hope he is joined by Arvind Kejriwal, Anna hazare, Gen VK Singh and other activists who want to do something meaningful in public life. If the people of India support this new crop we can forge ahead at a much faster rate as I am sure these leaders will address and vanquish the biggest malaise faced by India, ie. CORRUPTION!

Even I support Baba Ramdev entering politics, at least he will be better than the current politicians whose only motive is to fetch as much money as possible in their pockets. But I feel Ramdev has to properly formulate the way he is going on, sometimes he speaks so much and such things which are not expected.

You are right, he speaks rather too freely. Maybe his open and fearless attacks on the ruling govt. is meant to attract the public attention, don't forget the huge following that he enjoys. If all the followers vote for him the BJP and Cong will panic. By his demonstrations and subsequent arrests and all the melodrama he knows now where he stands. His presentations about Arthashastra reveal his knowledge and the experts who are behind him. He will do well to include AK, VK and Anna Hazare.

Baba Ramdev has said that he himself would not be contesting in elections. Yet, we cannot say if this stand changes in the future.

Sorry to say that I have no faith in Baba Ramdev. He is probably joining politics to achieve his own goal and never for the interests of the common people.

Maybe you should look at the volume of his work for the masses. For the last so many years he has toured all over India to conduct early morning yoga, pranayama and kapalbhati breathing classes for the masses. More people have been following him and learning breathing techniques from TV shows. His ayurvedic medicines are inexpensive and a hit with the masses. he has more than 40 lakh followers who are devoted to him. His work deserves the highest award that the Indian Govt, can confer upon him. With his achievements he can call the shots in the next elections.

He practices yoga and pranayama and teaches the same to everyone who is interested. People can learn for free too. You can watch him on TV to learn by yourself. Coming to his medicines, it is affordable and effective in curing ailments. His earnings are there for anyone to audit. He has gathered a following of atleast 30-40 lakh people from all walks of life. Political parties are interested in having him as an ally. In fact his position is stronger than that of Arvind Kejriwal and Anna Hazare. I think the best solution is for all of the three to come together. Since Baba and Anna are not going to contest themeselves At least AK can take on the responsibility to contest and if he wins he can show us the way. He was a great student and he was an effective and honest IT official. Compared to their credentials the others seem to have no merit like Rahul,Modi and the Advanis and Sonias. They only have money and power with which they are unable to give a better administration of this country. At the end of it all, it is your choice whether you vote for Rahul/Modi/Baba.

Well, it is good that more people who are opposed to corruption are joining politics. However, reforming the Indian Political and economic setup to root out corruption would mean much more efforts. How much will this new party achieve is difficult to say. Still, let us hope for the best.

Hi, I respect Baba Ramdev. His work on yoga and ayurveda medicine is very appreciable. But I think he should not enter in politics. He should work like Anna Hazare. Numerous people will support him in this work.

i feel that there are many people in politics who are not at all performing their duties well.So i think there is nothing wrong if he enters in politics.Even if he do little bit for janta than he will be proved better than many of people in politics.people who have forgotten about the yoga has now been doing this since he has reminded.

I am a little apprehensive.Baba,in my opinion, was doing exceptionally well preaching yoga and indigenous medicines.I am doubtful about his success in politics that is now at its lowest ebb.I agree with you that the government has been trying to melign his character by hook or by crook.I don't know whether Baba would be able to counter and foil the mischivious attacks.
