YouTube banned me...

Well... yesterday out of the blue youtube banned me because of one 3 year old video about how to cash out your money from neobux to your paypal account... it seems that such videos are against community guidelines or terms and they take 3 years to just kill your account -_- ... I din't get any notice about it and no warnings, too. Now I can't access the site at all. I had accumulated so many playlists and subscriptions which were really important to me. They are all gone now. And all my other channels... are gone, too. They say I am not allowed to have/create other/new accounts...
Of course this must happen just right before I was about to start a few websites and those would heavily rely on youtube videos plus I wanted to start a business selling my music and stuff for other producers and make some how to videos on music creation through my youtube channels... I guess I can forget that plan now... I am so sad and angry right now... it is just depressing =(
I know there are a few alternatives out there but do they have a simular monetising feature? Or what can I do to get my account back? Does somebody here know something?
I appreciate any help.

Just now I know they will block any members account if violated their rules. Sorry to hear your story

My account was just released. And when I went to the my channel page I did get an explanation... someone else has flagged that video to be against the guidelines and terms and the ban was an automation process for further investigations. After reviewing my situation they relesead my account with a first strike warning which I had to acknowledge so I can use the site again.
And finally... I have got my account back...

Yeah, but it sounded a little bit like that someone else just has to flag your video and write a little about it to get your video and your account in such a situation...
And I don't agree to this that my title was misleading... but I had to acknowledge it to get my account back. :/

i don't think that they would block you in a way that you would not be able to access the site but you won't be able to log in on your account anymore if you are ban.

Well, while I was banned I could only view shared content from others and when I tried to access the site in general or other pages than these shared ones then I did get an error page saying something like this:
"500 ERROR Sorry, something went wrong.
A unit of higly trained monkeys were dispatched to deal with this situation.
If you see them show them this:" and a wall of code appeared...
I was pissed reading that all the time I tried xD

It is really bad to here.
So If you are very serious about creating music selling stuffs, take a paid hosting there you can rely. They won't ban you.

I forgot to add you this...
Again if you are interested in youtube, create few more accounts. Use only account only for your website purpose. There you don't comment or upload on other unwanted stuffs.
Use another account for your personal things like commenting generally, creating playlist, subscriptions etc.
use another account for commenting against something, uploading affiliated stuff videos :)
By this method, you can rock :D

I'd like to believe its not only about your 3 year old video that's why you get banned by them. You can find tons of How-to-cash videos all over youtube but their not banned. Contact youtube and make an appeal. It sounds unfair to get banned all of a sudden when it took you years to make all your videos.

Well that particular video got flagged by someone else and said that the title was violating their guidelines and terms or something like that... I did make the video within a day or so, it is just that it has been 3 years since I have uploaded it on youtube... I was just wondering ;)

Wow that shocks me. I have seen so much on youtube I never thought they would ban for that. I would write them and tell them you are sorry and won't do it again but I wouldn't tell them what you plan to do in the future. Just explain to them that you enjoy their site and have so many playlists you like. If you can find a phone number I would call because it is much harder to ignore you on the phone then it is to ignore an email. I know youtube is going through some changes which is probably why it happened after 3 years. They are now charging us to view some videos. I hope you get back on and good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions.
I have written them an email and they will take their time to answer I guess so I am planning an alternative route while waiting. I can't find a phone number... my access to their site is very much limited. So, I guess I have to start from almost 0 again. :/
I just noticed that one of my other channels is still in the system... Well it had an other purpose and the wrong name but I think I can run with that, too. I am just too afraid of logging in there... not that the account will get banned, too!

Hello Jarrman,
I am sorry for what happened to you. Personally, at your place, I would apologize, tell Youtube that I was not aware that one of my videos was against guidelines, and I would also tell them that I dream to become a Youtube associate and that I would put only my own music creations online if I get my account back.
If it does not work, ask them to delete completely your Youtube accounts. They have to do it, and, when your accounts will be deleted, Youtube, according to their rules, will not keep more than 9 months your personal data, i.e. you will be free to open another account after this delay.
Try to be more careful in the future.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well that is very bad to hear about u getting banned completely by You tube and i am sure u must be very much shocked and disappointed with whatever has happened with u. I know u must be confused as to what should be done now as u have lost so many things in the process. i wish i could help u but i am sure u will get some other ways to get access to You tube.

Hi ! So sad to hear that , i know how it feels to be banned . Once i am banned from the site that i loved to work . So sad for their accusation was not true and i really love writing that site and having lots of followers but i can't do anything , that's why from there on i am so careful about the rules of the site where i am joining. Same thing also , you must be very careful especially that those sites we are earning. It is not a mistake but a lesson to be learnt ! Don't worry internet is very huge , more opportunities awaits for you .
