Surveys

I hate taking surveys. I know most people don't like them just because you get like half way through it then a bad answer means you're disqualified. I just hate them in general. But I've been doing a lot of surveys lately trying to reach the Swagbucks daily goal.. and I do see why it's so frustrating to get part way through it then be disqualified. I really think we should get partial credit if we get far enough past the demographic questions. Like the one I just took about clothing. I answered a bunch of questions about where I like to shop. Then it asked me where I shop the most, and I said Target, and then it said I was disqualified. Wouldn't it be great if we could still get a few points for getting that far? With some sites you can. Like Mypoints usually gives you 10 points even if you don't qualify. With Swagbucks you only get 1 point. I say if you get that far you should get at least 10-20 points, depending on what the survey was going to pay out. Would you be more apt to take surveys if you got some points for getting half way through it before being disqualified?

i never tried it before. answering surveys is i think one of the boring jobs. but some says that you don't have to answer it seriously. you can put anything in the survey. because anyway its just a survey.

There's a way where by twisting the rules a little you can go further in a survey. I don't do surveys but when I was exploring them a couple of years ago, after being frustrated just like you are, I decided to put in wrong information and ended up completing the survey. I don't remember the exact details of how I did achieve it but am sure it can be done. I know its not ethical but the surveyors aren't ethical either on their part. They shouldn't be asking people to put in demographic information if certain demographics don't qualify. Certain information should be collected by them before they allow someone to take part in the survey.

Ugh!! I know exactly what you mean! That is the reason I quit all the sites I was doing surveys at except mypoints which i totally love. I think it is a crock to not get something especially when you get 75-99% finished. we would be more likely to do more surveys if they did. Hopefully one day they will get a hint.

Yeah, I've stopped doing surveys too.. I only stick with sites that have other ways to earn like searches and stuff.

i stopped doing surveys many years ago when i found out that some are scams. but there are those that send you emails and there are some that really pays a considerable amount but i am with you in saying that it is really frustrating when you get that far and almost done then suddenly you are not qualified and can't go on with the survey. your suggestion is just right.

I normally hate to do them too.. but I've been trying to reach the Swagbucks daily goal and sometimes that's the easiest way.

I hate it too when I don't get anything at all for not qualifying, especially at Irazoo where I usually like the surveys but every once in a while I won't get one and just waste time. I like Paidviewpoint because you earn something for EVERY SINGLE question even if you get disqualified, although they are really short surveys like under a minute. I've also heard good things about Pine Cone Research but I've never been approved for an account.

I'm the same way. I hate to get halfwaythrough a survey only to be disqualified and not get credited anything. That's why I now only use 3 sites. e-rewards, myview, and ipsos all pay you even if you don't qualify.

The OTX are the worst surveys ever. If a survey site I go pops up with an OTX survey I will not even try it.

You are right....I don't like doing surveys so I don't. I found when I did usually there was nothing in it for me...so it was a waste of my time. I hope in the future you do get credit for you participation!

I would feel oodles better if I would at least get a little something, especially if I get disqualified 10 or more minutes into it.

I can understand your frustration but what I don't understand is why anyone would be disqualified? Isn't that the whole aim of a surver - to find out what people really do and think? So why then, do they ask for a survey? I just don't understand their thinking. Just seems crazy to me and to think that you don't even earn some points. We don't have any surveys out here and knowing this to happen would stop me from trying. I am confuesed. You were asked where you shop and you answered honestly and get disqualified?

They're probably just looking for people who shop at certain stores.. especially high end stores which I don't shop at as often.

I have never believed in surveys. I dont have faith that I will actually earn money from taking them. I havent heard of anyone who said they earned a lot because of taking surveys. If there's anyone out there who did, please tell me about it. As long as I dont have to pay anything.

Well,i agree that most of the time we get disappointed or frustrated as we fine ourselves disqualified after spending some time on the surveys.Well,i have been through that some of the time.Luckily,i do not see these issues at globaltestmarket. They keep the qualifications at first and then allow to enter the things. So it saves our time and in case we are disqualified they do reward us 5 points unlike others. So it also helps us in redemption. From survey perspective, i think among all online categories of earning money, surveys are easiest and time saving ones. Some of them pay really well and some of them are easy and convenient especially when we are out of time or looking for something in quick time. But then there are times, you do not get anything much from surveys. But for me personally in many sites like microworkers and others, survey remains my favourite. And its easy, there are not much homeworks to be done and you can express your opinion and thoughts without much issues or problems.Besides hating surveys will not help you friend. You hate small fishes, but winning a shark is something. So think in that direction.Have a great time. Thanks!

i have never tried swagbucks. and this answering surveys is so kinda lame. and what you have said in your topic is something good. I mean you should get rewarded for the work you do. even if it is halfway, or someway or atleast one u desrve to get rewarded cause you atleast did till some extent. but rejecting that kind of "basic rights" is too awkward.

I don't mind doing surveys, but what i don't like is the fact i get invited to do a survey, and then like you said, get to a certain point and get disqualified. i think it is a waste of time to invite someone to take a survey, if all we are going to get is disqualified. I do surveys from pinecone research, and paid viewpoint, and I can finish those, and vever get disqualified. they are sent in my inbox, and when I get them suveys, i know I will be able to do them. I don't understand why survey companies wate their time sending emails, when they know you are going to be disqualified. It seems like they have way to many people doing them and most of the time they end up being closed too. I will do them as long as I get paid for them, and not disqualified. Take care, and have a great day.

I used to do a lot of surveys. But I haven't done in a few months. Mostly. it's the frustration of getting into the middle of one, and then finding out that you've been disqualified. Yes, it would be great if there was one where you'd still get credit for the work that you do. Because in reality it IS work.

I don't mind doing surveys they bring me in some money but I only do them on mturk.com website since they are legit and don't cancel on you half way through and waste your time. It is very aggrevating when that happens!
