When doors open, step through.

Sometimes things happen and we just need to jump on opportunities, taking a step of faith. I wasn't planning on getting my own place, but the road of life sometimes give you twists and turns. Amazingly, this was only the 2nd place I looked at, and it was so nice and the price was great so I jumped on it. I am still unpacking and still have stuff to get from my sister's house but I am settling in. I also brought my cat, Dexter, home last weekend and he is starting to settle in nicely. Previously, I wrote about how I applied for another position for more money, someone else got that position, but as I said, doors still open. On Monday, the HR person came to me and told me that one of the office positions was opening up, due to the person holding that position being terminated. Since I am already trained on that job, and am the only one in my place of employment who is, she asked me if I wanted it. Way more money, and a lot easier than the other job I applied for. I start Monday, and my raise will go in effect then. On top of that, I had a nice bonus in my pay today. To tell the truth, I was getting really worried that I wasn't going to be able to afford this place, but as I keep learning over and over, if we keep the faith, God always provides. So I am breathing a huge sigh of relief, and lots of thanks, and this weekend I am going to celebrate.

Also if the door is not opening or there is no door at all you can open it yourself or make that door. So it's not about waiting or seeing/recognizing the opportunity but about making them yourself!

I so agree. Things happen for a reason, and just when we thought that it is tough luck that we didn't get what we are aiming for, turns out that God has a better plan for us. Much better than what we initially strived for. It is true that in order to get to our goals and dreams, we must work hard and work smart. More importantly, we must keep the faith that our Lord will never leave nor forsake those who trusts in His words. I am happy for you, and I hope that my own prayers will be answered as well.

A few years ago, there was a song by Lee Ann Womack titled "I Hope You Dance". The song was about taking advantage of opportuntiues when they are presented to you. Looks like that's what you are doing. If you hsven't heard the song, you might want to take a minute and look it up.
