I saw this commercial about the American Humane Society and saw all these abused animals. The showed dogs cats horses and cows. They say some horses and cows go unfed by the owners. They say cow tipping can kill the cows. They showed dog all beat up and cats with one eye. It was so bad i can't watch that commercial without crying and wishing i had the money to help them. I'm out of work and hubby's paychecks go only to the bills so no money to help those poor animals. What i want to know is how could someone hurt such innocent creatures. Don't they know when the animal is not fed they get hungry just like humans r when you hit them they hurt. In this commercial i also saw seals getting clubbed (hit with a stick or a club) and this kills them. Don't they know animals have feelings too and make sounds of crying when they are sad. When they get cute they bleed like humans. They have hearts minds and are living just like humans and when they are hurt they hurt like we do. Yet they can't protect themselves like we can protect ourselves. I think the people that abuse these animals should go to jail same as child abusers or spouse abusers. How could they hurt these innocent creatures who never did anything wrong tho them?

I can't watch those things either. Not that I don't do something for homeless animals, I volunteer at a no kill cat rescue. I doubt those commercials are going to have an effect on people who don't give a damn about animals, but I guess they might move some people who aren't doing anything to help in some way.

There are other ways to do it. You can donate time instead of money, for example.

I would help those animals if i could but right now money is so tight in my house. I do not have a job but am looking and all of hubby's paychecks go to pay the bills then nothing left.

Obviously, these people do not have the heart for these poor animals. In the first place, they shouldn't have any one at all. They should pay for the troubles and pain that they have inflicted on these poor animals.

Why don't we do to them what they did to the animals tho clubbing a person or tipping a person wont kill them like it will an animal. To me anyone who could hurt an animal is heartless and cruel

If we think that way, then what makes us different from them? I think that getting behind bars and paying the fine would do.

I work at the local animal shelter, and all my animals where abused, or neglected at one point by someone. People don't care, and it shows what type of person they are. A few months here a dog was tossed out of a moving car, and ended up dying. Some put animals at a lower level, I know many here who have said the samething,they are just animals, and I would never put them over my own needs, but then again it shows what type of person they are. If I could I would help them all, I see them come into the shelter all the time, and people think they are doing good, just tossing the kittens in a ditch or field, then letting someone else pick up the pieces and their responsibility. It all comes back to irresponsible pet owners, and I know a few who get an animal, they get ride of it because they make a mess, ruin their furntiture, move and can`t have aniimals, or don`t think they will live that long. It`s ridiculous, they should have stricter rules, and the aniimals you get should have to be registered and traced back to people.

I don't know how they can treat innocent creatures so horribly. Its just as bad as child abuse and something more should be done for the animals as well as getting rid of these people who do so for awhile, in jail. I agree.
