Bye Bye Cable..Hello Clear TV??

so after a month of thinking, I decided to do away with my current cable service. Why? There is nothing on television that matters to be right now that can't be found on youtube and netflix. However, I will need regular television to see the news, weather, and things of that nature. So I set out looking for a good alternative that is low in cost. I was told about Clear TV. It's supposed to be some type of antenna that you hook up to your tv and it has a I guess transmitter that comes with it that you mount on a wall to get reception. I looked it up and right now, you can buy one and get one free. That's the first red flag to me. Why would something that is supposedly so much better than cable be willing to lose that kind of money. The second red flag is the complaints I read online about it. The third red flag that is keeping me from buying it is the possibility of losing out on $35 (that's the price plus shipping, processing, and a tax due to where I live) So my question to you guys is, has anyone heard of Clear TV? Do you own it? Would you research what others thought of something like this before you buy it?
