Movie marathon??

When a new movie in a series comes out, do you have a movie marathon and watch the entire series from the beginning.. or just see the latest release and not he previous if you've seen them before? The newest, and final, Twilight movie came out last night. I'm a huge fan. Read all the books, and own all the other movies, and even saw the last one in theaters. I also own a couple of the soundtracks. So we went out and bought the latest movie. We were debating having a Twilight marathon this weekend and watching the entire series from start to finish. I opted against it though. I've seen the first few so many times, I really have no desire to watch them again. We'll probably just watch Breaking Dawn, both parts. Are you watching Twilight this weekend? Will you watch them all, or just the latest? Is there another series you have to watch from the beginning when a new one comes out?

I can barely sit through a single Twilight movie. I don't know what would happen to me if I'd try to marathon them. I had a mental breakdown from Breaking Dawn pt 1. Funnily enough, I am watching Twilight this weekend. I've seen a little bit of it already and this one looks really entertaining, unlike part 1 which felt like a vampire was sucking all life out of me when I was watching it. This one is so bad it's good. But one thing really puzzles me. This franchise made so much money yet they still can't get decent special effects? This movie has worst special effects I have ever seen and I'm not even joking. All scenery looks fake, the lightning fast running is laughable and don't even make me comment on the wolfs.

I'm not that much of a fan of a particular movie Franchise that I' d have all of them to watch in a marathon..I enjoyed the LOTR trilogy and have watched all of them On DVD,but never in one session..the one series that I did buy and watch back to back was the " Firefly" tv show!

If The Hobbit is being paced for release the same way as for LOTR,that's going to be another couple of Years to wait for that marathon to come about..

I've seen all the LOTR in one day.. it was a very long marathon! Probably have to do it again when The Hobbit comes out on video.

You know, something that I really wanted to do when Breaking Dawn Part II was released in the theater was that I would have loved to have been able to get tickets to see the movie marathon at the theater, but I didn't have the money at the time. That said, I've never actually done a movie marathon of my own, but it would be something that I would love to do if the right series of movies came out for me. It would be a great way to spend a day and it would definitely be time to spend with my family.

I wouldn't be able to sit through that many movies in a theater. I prefer the comfort of my own home.

We don't do movie marathons anymore, as I often fall asleep through parts of the movie. But, we did watch part 2 of BD on the weekend. I haven't seen the all the previous movies (I think I saw the first), but my son wanted to see it. Apart from my confusion about why TL was around the V's, I thought it was a great (fight scene) movie!

If you'd seen them all you'd have no confusion!

We had a movie marathon last weekend. And the movies we watched were mostly action movies. We started with Quentin Tarantino's movie Django Unchained, followed by The man with the iron fist. :D We took a break and continued watching with Skyfall. :D It was such a day! packed with action. hehe

Ok don't holler but I've never seen twilight yet at all. I will say I would love to watch Harry Potter movies back to back but like you I have seen several of them and very familiar with the plots of each one. I don't read the books because I already know what happens in the movies seems silly to read the book to me especially since they are HUGE books in the first place. Though the kids and hubby have started a HOUSE & Cold Case marathons around here. I don't mind watching an episode or two but I think one of the is on ION for nearly 8hrs straight!

The books have so much more detail.. I did read all the Harry Potter books and they were even better than the movies. But of course I read them before the movies came out.

One of my favorite ones are Scary movie, Hard nut. National Treasure and many more. I haven't watch Twilight movie and haven't read their books either. But, I have heard some good reviews so maybe I will watch them after finding some free time at weekends.

Well I think you can call me movie freak sometimes :). I love to re-watch old movies and TV series. I once were watching my 500 episodes of anime from episode 1. Takes some days to finished but well I just happy, so why not :).

Hi there Katsmeow! I watched Breaking Dawn part 2. It's the most action-packed among the movies but still, my favorite is Eclipse. I like watching series from the beginning, may it be with movies, books, or tv shows. It will help me understand and appreciate the series better.
