Finally got a kennel

So I finally broke down on my rule that I would not put my dog in a kennel and let her roam free in the house while out. She is still young and eating my antique furniture so I decided to kennel train her. But she is never alone for more than an our or so at a time since my husband doesn't work and can usually be home with her to roam free. It will help me save my antiques.

For me, I do believe that it would be impossible for me to kennel train my dogs. However, there certainly have been times that I've used baby gates so that I can keep them out of certain parts of the house when we are away from home. It wasn't the furniture that we were trying to save, however, it was the carpet but now that is something that is a completely lost cause.
That said, you are doing what is best for you and your family so that is great that you are kennel training her.
