i just kiss the city

this morning i went to the city after preparing myself. my intention is to pass my lesson plan to my critic teacher for my grand teaching demonstration this coming friday. as i reached in the school and as i handed my lesson plan to her, she told me that she cannot check it this day because she needs to study it and read it in a peaceful, without too much nuisance of the students. so i asked her when to get it. and she answered i can get it tomorrow morning. so we both agreed.
after we talked, i decided to to go college building but i fixed my mind to go home because i'll go there, for sure i can spend my allowance for the lunch and whatsoever. so to avoid it, i just went home.
so i can say that i just kiss the city this morning and went home after kissing it.
what about you, is there an instance that you just like kiss the city and went home instantly? share it here please and thanks :)

Well, I unfortunately being unemployed, I explicitly say that I have hardly anything to do. However, there are times of the day I prefer to leave the house and walk around the city.
Not let me to spend all day locked in the house!
So I go out just to go down in the bar downstairs, take a can of soda and coffee. My output is usually limited to half an hour!
Then back home.
Even then you mean it as "kiss the city"?

kissing the city is an idiomatic expression for going to a place in a very short period of time for any reason and then going instantly after accomplishing that purpose. so like what had happened to me this morning, i just went to the city to pass my lesson plan then went home after doing that.

Hi there MissJahn!
Yes, I have done that a lot of times already since like you, when I go somewhere else, I tend to spend money on things that I do not really need. I am trying to save money most of the time that's why I try to stick to the original plan on what to do somewhere I'm going and not stay there when there's no actual need to.

oh yes, we should be a wise spender if we want to save money. that is why, instead of going to my friends and classmates, i was not tempted to do it so because i thought that i can really spend money for my lunch and so. so what i did is i went home to have lunch in our house and to do and participate mylot activities. thanks :)
