I promote my own website or a site with no fees rather than promote a site that has fees and the traffic. I'm talking about Fiverr here.
People say you have to promote your own gigs externally but what for? The reason anyone post gigs on Fiverr because it has the buyer traffic. So why on earth would you promote a site that takes fees, has a 14 days pending to get the money and so many other restrictions like you can't charge more than $5.
I know that they are too many sellers there that your gig is gone and buried. Even keywords don't help. But when you click auto to randomize the gigs shown, you tend to get the same old sellers instead of obscure ones which you had to manually wade through all of them.
It definitely makes more sense if I promote myself and my service and eliminating the middle men that takes the fees on social networks and other sites.
In the end, the best place to promote the gigs would be within Fiverr which is the Fiverr forum.
So any opinions about this?

Buying traffic will sure see a spike in your website's stats but are these really good and sticky traffic? I believe these service will pay their members some fees to visit your website. But are these genuine visitors or are they just there to take a look, clock the necessary time and off they go never to return again? If they are, you are paying money for nothing actually.
