Sometimes I like to hit my boyfriend so he'll learn. I though something like this would happen because of his too much drinking last Saturday. He's been experiencing this pain on his foot whenever he eats some kind of food and when he drinks alcohol. Doctors says its gout, so being his girlfriend, I've been looking for remedy. But different website says different things. And I've been trying hard to let him understand he can't drink too much and he can't eat all types of food he wants, he has to avoid some. And today he's been crying in pain because of his foot. How can I help him avoid this pain again? What can I do to make him understand that he has to avoid things that can be the cause of this pain? What do I do? I;m really really worried... =(

If you are trying to make him understand, but he doesn't listen, try role reversal. Tell him if you were in his position, drinking to much and then crying in pain, what would he suggest you and how would he feel if you didn't listen. At times it works to swithc places in order to understand the situation more clearly. I would wait for your response. Hope it helps.

My husband has that. And he would be crawling literally due to the pain on his heel. Just let him take in lots of water and also coconut juice. Also, try not giving him coffee and tea coz it can aggravate the situation. No salty food as well. The bet pain reliever that my husband used is Voltaren 100mg, taken once a day for a week.
