People with bad intentions

Today, I went to visit a friend. When we left, he put my Targus laptop bag on wheels by the door, not in anyone's way. This guy walked up and picked it up to look at it. I told him to get away from my bag. He said he was just moving it. NO ONE HAS ANY RIGHT TO WALK UP AND LOOK at let alone touch anything that does not belong to them. I have been told that this guy has stolen things before. I have my work and cds in there. I do not plan on going back to the hotel where this happened! I also have my birth certificate and some other things in there. Contrary to what most people think, not everyone has good intentions. Be mindful of what is going on around you and let no one touch anything that is yours without asking because when anyone does that, they want what you have and they will steal it if you turn your back, even for a few seconds.

There are many people with bad intentions these days. They always try to loot other people's things so it is important for us to keep our things safe and secure and you can also use some diversion things to safe your valuables. I have got a secret candle from to safe my valuables.

If the guy didn't know what's inside the bag he's probably frustrated he has no idea what it contained. I have a funny thought that he's actually looking for an underwear to bring home. There was one time I left a shopping bag at the mall but because I'm with my mother, the guy who tried to take it got caught by my mother. It is less likely to be a victim if you have some company.

Good thing you were able to caught the guy. Those kind of scenarios are already rampant nowadays. It's sad to know that there are only a few places where these kind of experiences will be least likely. In most cities right now, even if we have the CCTV cameras, people with bad intentions can always find their way in stealing our things. They don't fear anyone. They are not mindful that we work hard for these things and they just easily grab them away. Unlike in Singapore - if you lost something somewhere, most likely you will still find that thing that you lost. Their laws are very strict that people really followed them. Hopefully, our country will be as strict as Singapore so that people will think first before doing bad things.

It is right to mind our belongings from time to time. Personally for me, I do not put my bags and other things down publicly, even they weigh too much to handle, just to put them on safety. I have been a victim of hold-uppers just days after my graduation in college, which took my college pin, my cellphone, cash and the most important, my handy-cam where every photos of my graduation was in stored. I cried after the incident and even text my own stolen cellphone number just to please the bad guy to give back the micro SD memory card of my cam,he didnt:( Always, always be attentive on your things. :(

Yes you are right. If somebody got an eye on your things especially if it is private and valuable for sure they will tend to do things bad. Lets just keep our things keep to safe place and do not let somebody un-trusted touch it.

I'm so glad you caught the guy before he might have stolen it. That is why when I'm traveling I travel with one bag that I can handle and it is with me the entire trip. I don't even check it at the airport. I always do carry- on since having a bad experience with my first airline trip when I was 18 years old. My luggage ended up being stolen on my return trip home. I lost everything. You can never trust anyone in these trouble times. It is a scary world we live in and everyone is out to get you in some way or other. I bet any amount of money if you didn't get out there in time he would have taken it for sure.

I am alwayswith my eyes on my bag or other where I put any valuables. Even when I go to a restaurant, I place my bag ion my lap if there is no place where I feel it is safe to have it.

A stranger just coming up to you, see and touch things, obviously the interest is there, the intention is highly more likely than the norm and probably assessing up the value of things you have and how much is the cost for him to cause him to motivate him steal it away from you.

I do agree with you. Although we would not want to think bad against others, but keeping ourselves safe from harm is another thing. And that also goes with the things that we own. We may never know that there are a lot of wolves in sheep's clothing roaming around.

yeah, that guy is up to something not good. If he really is not going to steal your bag, he would have asked loudly and point to the bag and ask who is the owner of the bag. He wouldn't just up and grab it. Good for you that you never took your eyes off your bag. I am sure that a couple more seconds and he could have walked out of there with your bag in tow.

I guess wisdom comes with age...I would never have left my laptop where anyone could even come near it. Yes, there are a lot of people out there who can't be trusted. I wouldn't go back there either. Keep your hands and eyes on all of your personal things. I think I'm probably hyper vigilant because when I go out I won't even take a purse with me. Too many people take advantage of Sr. Citizens and I'm not going to give anyone a reason to take anything from me!
