Who talks to themselves aloud?

I have discovered that if I talked to myself aloud then I feel better. I know that we should keep talking to ourselves deliberately especially when coming up to an important decision. We unconciously do it but it is better if we are aware of it all the time. We do the conversations in our heads though, yeah? It hasn't been enough anymore for me listening to myself quitely. I do call out my name and talk to me like I am talking to another person. I would also respond to what I am saying. I just wish nobody sees or hears me and thinks I am schizzophrenic.haha

I talk to myself all of the time. I used to have cats and would pretend I was talking to them. I try not to do it out in public, but sometimes in a store or something, I will forget. I sometimes see others in the store talking and I think they are talking to themselves, but they are on their cell phone.

I remember thinking someone was quite daft when I saw her talking loudly to someone that wasn't there. Then I saw she had a Bluetooth. That's before I really knew what a Bluetooth was. It was when they first came out. Now it's normal to see people talking out loud.

I am sure talking to ourselves is a normal thing. I don't do it a lot but once in a while I will say things out loud. I tend to do it more in my head then I do saying things so others could hear. Now if I do something stupid or drop something I may say good shot Tricia in front of others but that is about it lol.

I wait for the time when someone who would have the courage to tell me to go to a mental hospital in time. If indeed I am still sane then I would realize people running away from me.lol

It's kind of embarrassing when we talk to ourselves out loud. I just also would stare at somebody when that person is talking to themselves. We would never know what other people might think when we accidentally talk out loud.

Sometimes I do. I remember my mother talking to herself in the morning about how she planned the day, so maybe that is where I get it from.

Hi there! Haha so cute talking to oneself , why not right ?I suggest if you do it in a place where no one hears or sees you , they might be thinking of something else and they don't know you're enjoying it much but please limit yourself to what is the reality don't go far , you might not be able to comeback to reality ...lol ! If i am to be asked this is a healing way also , you got to pour all what is inside. I haven't done this when i am so angry , this is better than hurting others with your sharp words that will take time to heal. Have a good morning !

When I'm alone, yes! I do it to cheer myself up. I get depressed a lot and it helps. Good to know that I'm not alone!! :)

no worries. You are not alone since I do the same. I am not just sure if you do it more than I do. I am practically a very talkative person. To gain more ideas I think aloud which is talk to myself. I talk in front of the mirror too since some times my friends are not available when I needed one. But I don't I have a mental problem. Now, I'm doubting myself ... Should I take a psychiatric test?

I believe that being comfortable talking to yourself is a sign of a sound mind. For me, I'm one of those people that does find that I talk to myself on a pretty regular basis. The reason that I do this is simply because I do it, I really don't have any kind of reason that I do it, but it has been something that has helped me keep on task several different times in my life. What is really funny is when someone will hear you talking to yourself and will ask you to repeat what you'd said and then you have to explain to them that you were talking to yourself.

I do talk to myself aloud sometimes. And I guess those times are when I just needed to pour out my emotions or I would just want to hear myself speak, for a change. I am really not the kind of person that would be talking a lot even if I am insulted or hurt. I would just say a line or two them turn my back away from them.

You know what they say about answering yourself. I remember hearing you are crazy if you answer yourself. Like...it's okay to talk to yourself but PLEASE don't answer yourself or the folks with the white coats will come after you. just kidding. I sometimes answer myself quite a lot these days.

Hi, I like to talk to myself when I am alone. I don't talk loudly when someone is with me. But I feel comfortable by talking with me aloud. I don't call me by my name but start talking without calling name. I think that if there is no one to support me I can support myself. I don't want to be dependent on others for every time.

I think it would be a better idea. I've never talk with myself even before. I just whisper in a low voice but not to the extent that I am talking already with myself. I think I should exercise talking with myself starting today. lol. I was inspired by what you said.

I see people talk to themselves all the time. I do it but not too much. Sometimes when I am driving by myself and someone on the road is a terrible driver I tend to talk to myself about how bad of a driver they are. I don't know but sometimes people might think I am crazy when I talk to myself lol

i think aloud when i'm making a list of something and i need to review if it is complete. my husband would sometimes ask me why i do this but it helps me a lot. there are also times that i voice my thoughts even if i'm alone driving and i notice something strange along the way. i don't think this is an abnormal behavior as long as we don't do this always.

I talk to myself all the time! I live alone, so there is no one to hear but me. I've heard it said that you're okay talking to yourself, but it's when you answer yourself that you're in trouble. I don't think that's true, though.

everyone has two side. Learning to listen from our own heart is crucial. That is the reason why somebody like to keep writing diary everyday, it is another way to talk to ourselves.

Hello taiwanlife I think we all talk to ourselves at one time or the other. I think sometimes it helps us to reason better then if we said it in our head. When we hear ourselves speak our brains respond differently. I think it is completely healthy to talk out loud. As a matter of fact I do it quite often but I make sure I'm alone. I don't think other people will be as understanding lol.

Me! I talk to myself a lot but most of the time, on a regular talking voice because I might offend myself if I talk to ME aloud. Moreover, I see to it that I'm alone in the room facing a mirror so I could see ME and my reaction. It's kind of reassuring and it even fights stress off me. We should be careful in doing that, though. If we really think that talking to ourselves gives us health benefits (or anything good for that matter), we should seriously do that when we're alone..if you don't want to scare your housemates and if you don't want to end up being thrown in a mental facility just because you've scared your relatives goodtime.

My mother always told me that it is OK to talk to yourself as long as you do not answer yourself. There are times that I have done both. I would think as long as you are not acting crazy than you are OK. But what do I know.
