Hi Nitin, As per the RBI rules Indian Debit Cards are not accepted by paypal. If you want to add funds to paypal through your HDFC Bank account follow these procedure. You need to apply for Internet Banking for your account(Mostly it is already avaialable in your welcome kit which was given when you opened your account). After getting your inernet banking kit, please check this demo on how to create your virtual card. www.hdfcbank.com/assets/netsafedemo/netsafe.swf

Your paypal earnings will automatically withdrawn to your bank which was linked to your account. You need to link your bank account to paypal account.

This may be because you are in India. The RBI restrictions mean that you can receive money in PayPal (but it will be automatically transferred to your bank within 7 days) and that there are very stringent rules about making payments to other countries through PayPal. This may very well mean that you are NOT allowed to transfer funds from your bank to your PayPal account. Read the Terms and the Help in PayPal which relate to your country.

The Indian government has enforced that people in India will not be allowed to send funds using PayPal although you can still receive funds into your account. You can use try other payment processors like Payza or LibertyReserve. I've not used them for a while but don't think they similar restrictions.

Hello nitinnair, I have an information that PayPal isn't accepting Debit Cards of Indian Banks to make purchases except VISA Debit Card of ICICI Bank. I think HDFC Bank Net Safe Card is permitted for PayPal purchase. Contact with PapPal or HDFC Bank for details.

Sorry, HDFC is there in Head lines. Try to get a Credit Card of HDFC Bank or any other Bank to bring PayPal transactions easy.
