Hi Mtvmtv, either you stop using that email account or you delete all those spam emails without reading it. I think it is easier to ignore, and delete those messages. If you have joined certain programs online, or you have completed some survey forms and provide your email address, you can expect to have many spam emails. Some websites provide you freebies, but they sell your emails to others. It is part of life. You can create a separate email for your online activities if you want to.

The best thing to do is mark those mails as spam and your mail service provider will do the rest. Most providers already have very strong anti spam filters in place so unwanted mails go straight into the spam folder. There are occasions though when the spammer is able to get past those filters. Once you mark those mails as spam, you're likely to avoid getting spam from the same person. You could try creating a new mail account as some have suggested but I don't think that'll work. You will someday end up getting spam in your new mail too. The best way I suppose is to the tackle the problem rather than escaping it.

I get a lot of spam in mu email too, and all I do is just delete all of them, and not open them. i seem to get them all day long every day. It is best not to open them as you wouldn't want anything happening to your computer by doing so, as they could be a virus too. It seems that spam is really bad in emails nowadays, but it is like one user said, you can just change your email address too. I have one regular email address, and two gmail accounts. the one gmail gets lot of spam whereas the other one doesn't get as much. It just depends i guess on what the emails are about. take care, and have fun in mylot.

I think there's a way to extract all of your mail data so that you can move out of your e-mail address, then move to a new account.

Most of those spam messages are dealing scam sites. Be careful not to be lured by them. One way to stop these messages is to unsubscribe from these site. Scroll down all the way to the bottom and look for a note asking if you want to stop receiving messages, then just follow the instruction.

Are you using, yahoomail, gmail or any other? Report mail as spam and frequently delete it. Do not open it. I advice using gmail because its more powerful in detecting spam messages. Maybe you have subscribed to a bogus site.
