Chocolate and Caramel

Chocolate and caramel have long been one of my favorite combinations among sweets. Twix bars are a great example of chocolate and caramel done right. Ghirardelli makes decadent chocolate and caramel squares that positively melt in your mouth. And, of course, the recipe on Eagle brand condensed milk, for bar cookies featuring chocolate and caramel (formed from the sweetened condensed milk) is out of this world. It's dangerous that you can make that one at home and eat all you like. Chocolate and caramel are a dynamic duo when it comes to sweet treats.

My stand-by for the chocolate and caramel is Milky Way. I get the little fun size bags. Two kinds of chocolate and caramel just meld together right. I've not seen the Eagle recipe. I usually buy the generic condensed milk but I'm sure they have the recipe on their web site. I'll check it out. But I'm not much into making cookie-type sweets. But if it's easy, I may make them.

LOL Yoyo, I guess there are times chocolate and caramel are safe in the house, and times they're safer at the store, then, eh?

Hey there yoyo! Milky Ways are a wonderful way to get your chocolate and caramel on. And the fun size bars assist with portion control. Yes, I'm sure the Eagle brand bar cookie recipe is on their site, I just haven't looked it up. Bar cookies are generally among the easiest you can make, especially these chocolate and caramel goodies.

The taste is really amazing and the problem is you can be addicted to the fabulous flavor and for that you surely missed when you don't have for the day.

Hey again, teo, my friend. Thanks for joining in the discussion on Chocolate and Caramel. It is a genuinely addictive flavor combination, and a pleasant treat at day's end. It just melts in your mouth, in whatever form you choose to indulge yourself.

I am a big lover of chocolate but one thing I don't like is caramel, that goo, yes indeed inside the twix, to me it's like eating raw sugar and it sets my teeth on edge. I have found a lot of the chocolate they are replacing the milk with soya milk and it doesn't taste the same. I tend to prefer dark chocolate, plus dark chocolate is actually better for you. I certainly don't eat as much chocolate as I used to, maybe I am losing my sweet tooth, which is not a bad thing I guess!

Hey there, wolfs! It's good that you're losing your sweet tooth. You'll probably live longer for it. For my part, I'll just look for more dark chocolate and caramel, maybe some healthy alternatives that taste authentic.

Hey red, I had forgotten that I had a box of Valentine's chocolates with caramel in the freezer. Rolos are good, too.

Oh, I love caramel-ey-chocolate-y sweets! I love Twix. I like Snickers, too, but Twix is my all time love :). I also love small pieces of caramel covered chocolates like Riesen's or Eclairs.

Hey vidhya, nice to meet you. It's great to meet another chocolate and caramel fan. Just letting them melt on your tongue rather than eating them too fast is a wonderful thing.

Hello, ajithlal, my friend. Thanks for contributing to this discussion on chocolate and caramel. Snickers is an excellent example of chocolate and caramel done properly, with a few additions.

You just can't beat the taste of choclate and caramel. They are as good together as they are apart. I think that twix does a good job with that, but Snickers and milky way do that too.

Hey there, sender, good to see you again. Chocolate and caramel are a dynamic dup in the dessert department. Candy bars like Snickers, Milky Way and Twix are easy to access and fun to have around. I cannot remember it exactly, but I would be willing to hazard that I have somewhere experienced a chocolate layer cake with chocolate frosting and caramel between the layers at one point. Wish I could remember and get some more.

I love chocolate caramel flavors in cakes, ice creams, drinks, and chocolate bars. They are a really nice duo and I like how it tastes so sweet and yummy. But I watch out about how much I eat with these duo because they are too sweet and sugary and I am worried that I may get too overweight or work my kidneys too much. Also I drink lots of water when I eat these.

Hello, gelooo, it's great to see you again. All the deliciousness contained in anything with chocolate and caramel must be a red flag for us to enjoy while we can, but flush the harm away with plenty of water, a little exercise, maybe a reasonable steam, sauna or hot tub soak when possible afterwards.
