As pretty much anyone who has seen the news recently, Dennis Rodman visited North Korea and was pictured with their president/supreme ruler laughing while watching a basketball game. Rodman was there with the Harlem Globetrotters, although I'm not really sure WHY he tagged along.
All the news outlets figured that Rodman made a new friend, and it was a big joke. And overnight, reports started coming in that North Korea planned to fire nuclear weapons at the United States! But this story has to take the cake: Rodman now plans to broker peace between North Korea and the United States! Here's the link to the story: http://www.nypost.com/p/pagesix/dennis_rodman_plans_to_broker_north_wzH3YRiA7Exf6G9IdTYTwK (NOT A REFERRAL LINK!).
Ummmm, sure. I really don't think that the North Koreans are going to listen to a washed up, ex-NBA player about nuclear war, but hey, I guess anyone who was a celebrity thinks that they're akin to god or something.
I'm not really sure that I believe anything will come of this. Has anyone heard of this? Do you think that President Obama will take Rodman seriously? Or North Korea? Let's hear what you think-please share.

I take NK seriously. Not the Rodman. And I'm sure the US state department feels the same way although they seem to be discounting their threat. Or maybe they just want us to think they're discounting it.
Do they even have a missle that will reach the US? I know they have had duds. And the last test was underground so we don't know what that was.

I feel the same way-the Rodman angle is just too absurd for words. I do take the NK angle seriously though-I hope that the state department does too, and doesn't behave like the Senate or House.
As for the possibility of them having a missle to reach us? I wonder if the "underground" test was one that exploded when it was to be launched...

hi scorpiobabes the way I see it "kay sera sera whatever will be will be, the futures not ours to see, kay sera." To quote from an old song., really there is nothing I can do if the North Koreanns want war but I do not think they will do anything at all. I have my own health to worry about and thats enough as I am typing with the flu and my right hand partly numb from the dratted carpal tunnel syndrome so thats enough worries for one day. klol

I really thought it was a joke too, but TMZ is pretty good about only reporting things accurately-I guess it's because the founder is a former lawyer. But you really need to be careful with having the flu-we miss you when you're not here! Get well soon!

Dennis Rodman went to North Korea with the Harlem Globetrotters, a basketball team that performs tricks and demonstrations. He viewed the Globetrotters game and was pictured with whoever is running North Korea nowadays. I guess he thinks that because he's black like the President, he'll get the all-clear to negotiate some sort of peace treaty. I couldn't take him seriously-I mean, he's been photographed wearing women's clothing! And I seriously doubt that President Obama would take him seriously.
